I've only been here a couple times so far but the entire staff is very friendly and explains everything to me in a way that I can understand. The pricing is also very fair compared to previous vets I've been to. Can't see myself going anywhere else.

I love the doctor. He is loving and understanding of and patient, and answer every question that I asked him about my baby pops

I am so sorry to read the negative reviews about Dr. Amsterdam and his staff. I have been taking my dog to him for several years all because my fur baby became seriously ill in the middle of the night on a weekend. My daughter and I called and left messages with so many vets including the one I was taking her to at the time. Dr. Amsterdam was the only one who returned my call. He met us at 4 o’clock on a Sunday morning and stayed with her for most of the day. Being a complete stranger to Dr. Amsterdam, I was so grateful for the care he showed my baby. I truly feel like he saved her that night and, as a result, became my permanent vet. If Dr. Amsterdam had not returned my call, I don’t think I would still have my baby all these years later. He gave me his personal number (which he probably regrets) to use in case of an emergency which, of course, happened while he was out of town for Thanksgiving. He graciously answered my call and gave me the reassurance I needed until he returned. Dr. Amsterdam has always shown genuine compassion and concern for my fur baby and I have witnessed him doing the same with other pets. I have also witnessed he and his staff working with clients to devise a payment plan when funds are not readily available. I know that Dr. Amsterdam does his share of charity work but, at the same time, this is his livelihood and he should be compensated. I wanted to share my experiences after reading negative reviews as I believe in Dr. Amsterdam’s knowledge and concern and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a competent, caring vet.
