Dr. Arneson is hands down the best vet I have ever taken my fur babies to.nnI had a situation with one of my dogs and he literally came in early the very next day to squeeze my dog in for SURGERY.nnHe personally returned every single one of my phone calls - one time at 6:45 at night, well after the office was closed because he wanted to make sure he answered all my questions and addressed my concerns.nnFor the first time in almost a week my dog is resting comfortably and is acting like his happy go lucky self.nnI thanked him many times and his response was that I had made his evening by telling him how well my dog was doing and how he is no longer in pain.nnI am forever grateful to him and want everyone to know that he goes above and beyond to care for the animals he sees! 10/10 service.

My family has gone to Heartland for years, and I recently visited with my parents to put down a dear kitty. Dr. Hunt is always fantastic, but was particularly wonderful in helping us say goodbye to our boy. She talked to us about what was expected and quelled some of our worries, and clearly cared about both our kitty and us. They sent us with a box, hand-decorated by the staff, for taking our sweet cat home. The bill was sent a week later, because they didn't want us to think about the payment while we were grieving. Overall a lovely goodbye to our forever friend, and always a good experience with Dr. Hunt.

I would recommend anyone take there pet there thay are very helpful and there process works really will with how they get you to bring your pets in.

My daughter's cat ate a lily which is apparently one of the most poisonous flowers for a cat. I called several vets in the Harrisonburg area and no one was able to help us. They were booked, seriously I'm not asking for a nail clip, this was an emergency. When I called Heartland the receptionist put me on hold, as it was their lunch hour, and immediately came back and said you need to bring your cat in immediately. They were extremely responsive and companionate to our situation. The kitty is recovering after a few days in the hospital. Thank you Heartland for everything.
