Aleen Floral Design

I wholeheartedly do not recommend Aleen Floral Design. I am a bride who cancelled her wedding ceremony and reception due to both venues cancelling our contracts. It is true that almost every vendor has a non-refundable cancellation fee or deposit in their contract. We had vendors who were willing to sympathize with our situation and provided refunds less the deposit or a sizable refund even though we had paid in full prior to postponing our wedding once before cancelling, which was completely out of our control. Aleen Floral Design was not a sympathetic vendor and retained a sizable portion of our money.nOur cancellation resulted in the business retaining half of our monies paid, over $3,000, despite giving cancellation notice three months in advance, an amount even more shocking given the fact that no flowers or products were purchased by the vendor. Upon cancelling, we asked if this money could be used to make and deliver floral arrangements to hospital front line employees in the Williamsburg and Newport News area. Karen refused to do so, callously pointing out that such an agreement was not in the original contract.nI cannot in good faith recommend this florist based on the owner’s actions during our cancellation. To any future couples reading vendor reviews, I urge you to get to know the vendors, ask for references, and speak to your planner about their experiences with vendors.

So glad I found this great local floral designer! Her creations are so gorgeous (seriously something out of a magazine) and her prices won't break the bank. They offer workshops to learn how to create arrangements, she does wedding/events, the floral society offers deliveries during major holidays (Easter, Mother's Day, etc) and they will also do individual deliveries if they have flowers available - just give them a call.

I've worked with Karen as a photographer on a number of projects and she is a joy to work with. Karen's keen eye for design and knowledge of florals makes her such a great asset to any team. Each time, Karen made the planning process so easy and organized as we shared with her our vision and made this visual person feel so at ease. Each of her creations has been a true work of art! I highly recommend Karen and the whole Aleen Floral Design team!!

Karen is an amazing floral designer. Her attention to detail, creativity, and customer service stand out amongst her peers. Her talent is truly amazing. If you are looking for a floral designer in the Williamsburg or Hampton Roads area then stop right her because you have found her!

Aleen Designs did the flowers for our son's wedding in September 2019 and they were truly stunning. Karen was delightful to work with and really listened to what our son and his bride wanted. Karen even graciously met our late request to add flowers for the rehearsal dinner. They were a big hit and the people who got to take them home were thrilled. 100% recommend!
