Jeff and Rachel are some of the most thoughtful, compassionate, professional and kind-hearted people you will ever meet. My grandmother recently passed away and my family worked with them to organize her funeral service and burial. They went above and beyond anything we could have asked for and really went out of their way to take so many small detail-oriented steps to ensure that the day went as smoothly as possible. There is nothing more heartbreaking than losing a loved one but if you want to ensure that your memorial service is handled in a 5* manner, there's no need to look any further than Jeff and Rachel - a true class act.

Jeff and Rachel are wonderful people. Losing a loved one is never easy, but the kindness, support and warmth provided by Jeff made the overall process painless and helped my entire family find a lot of comfort in our remorse. Having never dealt with a funeral before, Jeff ensured that we were able to send our loved one with utmost respect and dignity.nThank you Jeff and Rachel.

My mother recently passed and Jeff and his team did a really great job with all of the arrangements. While this was a very difficult time for the family, Jeff was very empathetic and respectful in all of our dealings. He was on top of all the details and kept us informed on everything. I highly recommend Jeff Koopman and his team.

My dear brother-in-law Brian died unexpectedly 1 month ago in early July. On behalf of our family, I wish to express our deep gratitude to Hays Funeral Home for a job well done in handling the wake and funeral services. Because Brian was a public figure, the services were well attended by his many friends and extended family, colleagues, 3 generations of students, and local officials. It was an emotional and grueling 2 days, made that much worse with the summer heat and also the restrictions imposed by the Massachusetts COVID-19 mandates. The staff at Hays Funeral Home, however, was flawless in ensuring that every aspect of the wake and funeral services went smoothly. They looked after every detail, and solved all the logistical problems with the hundreds of people that were in attendance. The entire staff at Hays treated all of us with such kindness and respect. They performed tasks for us which they did not have to do, and were certainly not part of our agreement. For instance, with very short notice, Rachel produced a beautiful video presentation of Brian's life for the wake on Sunday afternoon. It must have taken her several hours on Saturday night to sort through hundreds of family pictures in order to produce that beautiful collage of memorable moments on that video screen.nI am a practicing physician. Burying our loved ones is never easy, even though I have been dealing with death and dying for several decades. Once again, many thanks to Jeff (Director of Hay Funeral Home), Rachel (his wife and Assistant), and their entire staff for helping our family through our darkest moments. Their niceness, kindness, and empathy were genuine. We were more than just their ‘customers.’ Above all, we were more, much more than just a 'business' to Jeff and the Hays Funeral Home.
