My husband & I have been clients of ACC for 22yrs. Last month our 15y/o dog with multiple health issues and a heart condition was not breathing normally. I called & asked to be seen as an emergency and we were told to come right down. We informed them twice we were there and waited in the car for an hour before she was seen. Dr. Villari gave her a sedative injection and she screamed in the most horrific way. It took over 10 mins for her to become sedated. We have been present with 5 pets during euthanasia and have never witnessed anything like this. Then he didn’t attach the syringe properly to her catheter and sprayed euthanasia fluid all over Jenny and my husband; he tells us his hands are still numb from the surgery he had. He had been back to work months already and had this been a regular appointment we would have not been let in to witness this. We wrote to the owners (neither were there that day) and they apologized to us but that does not change the horrible memories of the last moments with our baby girl. Dr. Villari never apologized; we have known him for years….as far back as when he was at Country Lakes in the office they used to have on Landing Rd. This is not the care we have previously received here and we hope Dr. Villari takes the time off he needs to fully recover. Needless to say we are never going back.
