I have a 14yo chocolate lab. He has epilepsy and growing tumors. Dr. Chun explained the prognosis and was extremely helpful and honest in helping me make a decision on quality of life for my best friend. I appreciate their honesty and the care for well being of patients. Highly recommend.

Do not take your beloved pets here and most definitely do not let them operate on them here. This place isn’t exactly cheap so when I signed on for my pets, I was under the assumption that the vets working here were caring, capable and my cats would actually receive quality care? This facility's website paints a very colorful image and resume of the attending vets. It doesn’t feel like anyone here outside of some of the techs actually care or are able to do anything of that sort in any capacity whatsoever.nnI had my two cats seen for their spay surgery and they completely botched the stitch job. I work in healthcare and can recognize a bad stitch up when I see one and this was it from day 1 post-op. What should have been a 2 week ordeal will now be even longer with no certainty that they’ll properly recover from this.nnThey both had areas on their surgical site open up due to the poor stitching and having one of them re-assessed by this place was met with just assurance that it would close up by itself. My wife went in personally to ask them about it and was advised the same the first time. I had to go in myself and was told the same thing but this time by Dr. Kim himself. Well, I didn’t have a lot of faith in them after this and took them to get evaluated and treated by another Veterinary physician at a vet hospital who not only confirmed my suspicions but also actually discussed and appropriately advised me of the situation with the two cats and their horrendous surgical incision, management and next steps on how to ensure they’re able to move forward with this.nnI regret not paying closer attention to the other reviews and foolishly thinking that it wouldn’t happen to me because sure enough, it did. Take your pets and your business elsewhere because their emphasis is only on one thing and you can probably gue$$ what it is.

TLDR: Communication Issues, UnprofessionalnnI visited the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital several times. My past visits were fine for the most part, albeit there were some issues. However, the most recent visit demonstrated that the staff was neither professional nor careful.nnBackground:nnTwo weeks before the visit, I called to schedule an appointment for dental scaling. The morning of, I dropped off my cats and was told that they would call in case a tooth needed to be pulled. Thirty minutes after, I called to ask if it was possible to add a general physical checkup.nnWhat went wrong:nnI wasn’t contacted throughout the afternoon so I called back. They told me that they had tried to reach out, but no one picked up, and that they went ahead and removed a tooth. While I am glad that they treated my cat and that he is fine, how comfortable would you be if they proceeded without your permission?nnFurthermore, I didn’t even recognize the area code of the phone number they had on account. Additionally, even the doctor himself agreed that the staff SHOULD HAVE ASKED if the number on file was alright, and had me confirm on speaker phone (with staff listening in) that I was not asked for an updated phone number.nnIf there was no response, could they not have called the number that contacted them that morning after their dropoff, the same one used to schedule the appointment? As if to further demonstrate my point, pickup was delayed by several hours because my cats were supposed to have fasted, which we were NOT told ahead of time.

The staff here took excellent care of my niece's little hamster. They were attentive caring and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend them to all pet owners. Tip notch experience!

I usually never write reviews but this place is awful. My dog only has like four teeth left and they jacked up the price of her getting her teeth clean by a couple hundred dollars just because she is a senior dog.nAnd after she got dental work done, she came back she developed a cough (possibly a damage to her trachea). They say that it’s cos they needed to have a tube down her throat due to anesthesia and not to worry about it. Complete lies. It’s been months and her coughs have only gotten worse.nIf you can, go to a different vet or if you’ve been going here ask them to send your records to your new veterinary hospital, easily done by fax.nStay away please. Put your money to a vet hospital that actually cares and does things properly.nYour pets deserve better.
