One of the worst floral experiences we’ve ever had. I want to make this very clear from the beginning that this post is being addressed at the manager’s behavior and not the employee and floral designer that tried to assist us. Ultimately, these two women are why we gave 2 stars instead of 0.nnNow for our experience...we ordered a customized version of the Bloom and Bliss bouquet (sub out blue and yellow and add variations of pink) over the phone at the Maplewood location on Friday 2/12 for pick up on 2/15 from the same location. My husband picked it up and brought it home and to my surprise the bouquet was not as expected . We decided to return the bouquet given that it looked nothing like we had requested and we had spent over $90 on it after tax.nnWhen we arrived to return it we approached the situation as positively as possible by showing them photos of what we had expected and then also showing them what we received and stating, “the bouquet was not as we had ordered”. This was our nice way of saying this was one of the worst bouquets we’ve ever received. The woman working the counter grabbed the manager for us. He approached the counter and we were immediately met with a negative energy almost as if we were a disservice or annoyance to his day. We explained the issue to him to which he responded, “umm our designer will help you” and escorted us over to her. No apology for the bouquet, no apology for our wasted time, nothing. He simply walked away.nnThe designer helped us and sincerely apologized and claimed there was no way the bouquet we had received could’ve been designed by the Maplewood Bachman’s location given that they are known for their design (it was that bad). We asked if we could exchange the bouquet. The floral designer (after speaking with the manager) told us that we could exchange it so we did and paid the difference of $10 for the upgraded bouquet.nnOverall, we spent our day off from work making two trips to Bachmans (25 minutes each way for us) and then having to deliver the bouquet to the recipient because we were not able to give it to them over lunch as we had anticipated. It was a terrible experience but I want to make it very clear the floral designer and the woman at the front did as good of a job helping us they could and they are not to blame. The manager, however, was beyond rude from his initial greeting to his dismissive behavior throughout the entirety of the conversation. He had the opportunity to remedy the situation but chose not to and in fact actually made it worse. We understand mistakes happen (regarding the bouquet) but rudeness is a choice and one we couldn’t look past. We hope this is lesson to the manger in how to not treat your customers.
