Elgin was so wonderful in handling the arrangements after my Mother's passing. At our final meeting, I raised several questions because the contract had been set up some time ago. He was able to contact everyone right on the spot....he is very experienced there and knew every person by name and all issues were resolved during that meeting. His knowledge of every topic that came up was extraordinary!
Our experience was top notch. During a time of extreme grief, we were very comforted by their excellent care for the family and attention to detail.
This is a nice/standard funeral home location.nIt's a nice location that's convenient to visit right off of Highway 100.nThe amenities are standard compared to any others in the area.nThe staff is helpful and cordial every step of the way.nDepending on the services you want/need, the prices can skyrocket, so talk to the staff to preplan what you require.
Both of my grandparents funerals were handled so well. The staff are very kind and make the experience be peaceful.
Everything was fine until the open casket for the family. The director knew that there would be a family only viewing. Our loved one's wig was stuffed next to the side of her face. The director made a lame attempt to put it on quickly, but crooked. Left a bad memory and feeling about Washburn-McReavy for the entire family. The rest of their services were fine. We won't use them again.
