Colonial Heights Veterinary Clinic

I chose Colonial Heights Vet Clinic to board my dogs because they came highly recommended by a friend. They were also more affordable than my dogs veterinarian. When I called to schedule their boarding I told them that one of my dogs needed a rabies and booster shot. I was told that was no problem and that they could do it there. I was not told that they require the dogs to have any other vaccines to be boarded there. I was also quoted a price of around $286. Upon arriving there to drop my dogs off I was told about the extra vaccines my dogs would need to be boarded with them. I had no choice but to board them there given that we would be leaving very early the next morning. I was given a new price of $388. One of my dogs always gets car sick and had a loose bowel movement on the way to the vets office. It ended up getting on both of them. When I picked them up this morning I was told that they both had just received a bath and were a little wet. I was charged $20 a piece for their baths. I can’t be certain but from the smell of them I believe they were just hosed down. In the end I was charged a total of $430. What I am most upset about is the fact that my dogs were covered in feces for a week. I even called a few days after dropping them off to ask how they were and if they had been cleaned up. I was told that they had been. They evidently had not because I was only charged for one bath a piece on 7/05/19. The employees were all very friendly I just wish I had been told about the extra vaccines required for their stay when I called to schedule for the week and that my dogs had been cleaned up upon arrival.
