Best Vets ever! These folks really care and treat every pet as their own!

It was June 1st, 2017 when we made that devastating decision to euthanize our 14 yr old weimeraner Ellie. We were new to the area and ended up taking our 3 dogs to this veterinary clinic. The first thing my daughter told me was whatever you do, do not let them take her alone. When we took Ellie in to be euthanized, the first thing they did was want to take Ellie back by herself. I asked if I could go with her, and they said that we will bring her right back to us after they get her IV in, and proceeded to stick us in a room. After 15 min. of waiting and of course, the sadness and anxiety we were going through, I went searching for my Ellie. After looking in many rooms I saw her laying on a metal surgical table then ran and got my husband. We entered the room and noticed our Ellie was frantic. My husband said, “What the f... is going on here?!” Why in the world was she on the table like that, not in her dozens upon dozens of vet visits, was she ever manhandled and forced to lay on the table like that. Why would they try to force that out of a 14 year old dog, who was anxious and scared, right before leaving her family forever? The Dr. said “excuse me?,” like he was getting an attitude with us. Our Ellie hadn’t been sedated in any way and was fighting to get away. We calmed her down and I pleaded for them to just give her the shot. Our beautiful girl did not deserve that type of transition!!! Why on earth didn’t they come get us so we could comfort her? It still makes me sick to my stomach when I think about what she went through. We recently had to euthanize our 13 yr old boy Lou who was a weimeraner. We went through Lap of Love who was referred to us by our wonderful and new veterinary hospital West Arbor Veterinary hospital. It was the most peaceful transition for our boy Lou. Manchester veterinary is the worse place to go and I hope my review will stop anyone from going there. It took my husband 3 years before we could talk about with our daughters’ about Ellie’s passing because it would have devastated them. I felt hurt,betrayed and lied to by these people! How do they sleep at night? I have nightmares til this day of happened to our precious Ellie. Please don’t take your pet there and find a vet who actually cares for your pets needs. No stars for them! They should be closed down! Disgusting vet, disgusting place. Unethical and need to be held accountable to for traumatic and torture they put our dog through before she left us forever.

The doctors and staff are wonderful and caring professionals. My beloved dogs have been well cared for and appointments are easy to schedule. Pricing is extremely fair for services rendered.
