Amy was awesome and hospitable, I called the store looking for a plant, she told me they just got some in stock, I showed up and the moment I walked in the door she walked me right over to the plants and everything I was looking for! Super helpful and very friendly! Good selection of all types of plants.

I love the Royal Oak store purely because of the awesome staff! I've been twice in 3 weeks and its been great each time. The West Bloomfield store is 5 minutes from my house, but each of the 3 times over the past 3 years that I've been, the staff has always been cold and unfriendly. Royal Oak is about 17-20 mins away and I'll gladly go wherever I feel valued, no matter the distance ud83dude01ud83dude0a

Very safe shopping experience! ! I wanted some plants for my perennial garden. I received helpful guidance in outdoor plant area. Proper social distancing, helpful garden associates & safe check out - all good!

It's a winter display full of beautiful displays. Unfortunately they sold out of the projector snow flake yard lightud83dude15ud83dude15ud83dude15. I guess I was too late.

Good quality terracotta too!nThey have various 'tropicals' to viewnSeveral pest products etcnSome interesting decornGood option of soil amendments (believe you buy by the pound, woodchip, pumice, stone, etc etc)nVery good return/exchange policynnConsnVery limited pre-bagged soil optionsnOrchids feel slightly over priced herenPoor weed control in plant pots (lots of clover etc found in pots with plants they're selling)nBiggest issue: if you are NEW to indoor plants (like I was last year) you need to be VERY CAREFUL when purchasing here. Make sure you check EVERY leaf and the UNDERSIDE of each leaf. Wherever they're sourcing their tropicals/indoor plants from seems to have very lackluster pest control standards. I bought a Monstera Adansonii and Golden Pothos from this location last March of 2020. The Adansonii was infested with mealybugs (my bad should've noticed, but I was a newbie and didn't know better so I learned the hard way) and the Pothos was infested with spider mites. I fought the long fight with both these plants to try and keep them alive however both officially now as of January 2021 have left me. They do have a 30 day (I believe) guarantee if a plant dies or you're not satisfied, I'm clearly FAR past that date but if something happens for you in that time span make sure you bring it back and they'll help you get itnsorted out!nnEDIT/UPDATE:n1. I made a whoopsie--- these plants were not purchased in March but July. The whole year just blended together (yay COVID).nn2. I can't restate enough how polite/friendly the staff are. I'm updating because the store manager reached out after this review (not my intent but very lovely to hear from someone) and actively worked with me over a couple days to try and talk out the pest issue. Like I mentioned above PLEASE PLEASE take them up on their return policy or voice your concerns (obviously in a reasonable way) with the staff/management. They genuinely seem to care and want you to have the best possible experience so if something goes wrong (within reason obv) say something and they'll work with you!!nn3. Still don't be foolish and naive like me. Check the plant before you purchase it, especially if you're new to house plants. And if you do see mealies/aphids/mites etc SAY SOMETHING to the staff. It helps them so they can treat/quarantine/observe.
