Brewer Veterinary Clinic

I had to bring my grandmother's dog for an emergency visit. I drove 4 hours. The wait was long due to several more serious emergencies, but the end result was worth the wait. After he was checked over, the vet called us herself and asked for approval before doing any tests. She gave the reasoning, her thoughts on what was wrong, and the prices. Once she received the results, instead of a phone call, she came to speak to us face-to-face. She told us the results, all the while crying with us. She explained everything in detail so we could understand what it all meant.. We informed her my grandmother has dementia because she was lashing out when she heard the results. She told us she experienced dementia in her family and cried again. She told us he was in an excruciating amount of pain and would pass within a week. My grandmother decided to let him go peacefully, as the vet recommended. The vet spoke sweetly to him, pet him, and let him give her kisses. She cried as she sat with us while he passed. She told my grandmother how sweet he was and assured her she did the right thing, and that he wasn't hurting anymore. My grandmother kept repeating the vet's words to anyone she talked to about the loss. The compassion and genuine emotion the vet showed was incredible. She clearly loves her job and if she were closer, I would make her my permanent vet. I wholeheartedly recommend Brewer Vet.

I've seen two different vets here, and they were both very attentive, detail-oriented, and willing to answer my many questions in a patient and informative manner. Staff is equally pleasant and attentive. Everyone seems to genuinely care about your pet, the scientific basis behind their recommended treatments, and your personal budget. Good communication and appointment reminders. After going to another vet who seemed harried and rushed, Brewer Veterinary Clinic was a breath of fresh air.

They were so wonderful. I’m from out of state my dog got really sick and they took him immediately. So kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I called on a Monday morning every vet from presque Isle Maine down to Bangor Maine and nobody was taking a new patients when I got a hold of Brewer veterinarian clinic and I told him what was going on with my baby pug they got me in right away they were fast friendly courteous and most importantly they were able to take care of my little baby Coco if I could give them more than five stars I would

After six years of taking my dog to Brewer Vet, I was forced to switch because of how rude and unwilling to be cooperative these people are. The receptionists at the front desk left nasty messages on my voicemail multiple times. They are really the ones that drove us away, which is a shame because we always had a great experience with the Veterinarians.
