The Golden Rose and Events of Harmony

The Golden Rose recently delivered a bouquet of hydrangeas for my birthday. The flowers were gorgeous! No matter the occasion or event, the ladies at the Golden Rose always go above and beyond to make sure customers are pleased with their orders. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful, locally owned shop in Posey County.

I was displeased with the quality of flowers delivered. The original sunflower arrangement was delivered with dead sunflowers. I understand that this occurred during cold weather but ALL flowers should be covered in plastic during delivery! It's basic knowledge in the industry.nThe second sunflower arrangement that was delivered as a replacement died within a day of receiving it. The flowers looked like they were leftovers that had been thrown together in order to fill the order. It looked like the sunflowers would've been thrown out the next day if they had been at the flower shop. I'm very disappointed with the quality of flowers. It's disheartening to know that my boyfriend spent money on flowers that died so quickly.

I would NOT recommend coming to this place for any reason!! If you need to order flowers, PLEASE save yourself the headache and go into Evansville!! I ordered flowers for a funeral a month ago. I went in on a Wednesday for a Saturday morning funeral arrangement order. It shows on their door that they’re affiliated with FTD, but everything I liked on their website (while putting in our location) was “unavailable in our area”. The store opened up about a half hour late, I went in and told them what I wanted, and that I needed it delivered FIRST THING that Saturday (no later than noon at the latest), well 1pm and sure enough the flowers weren’t there. I called and asked about where my order was and they said that it was “heading out the door right now” and they finally arrived about 30 minutes later. They looked absolutely NOTHING like what I had ordered. Then, I got a chance to read the card that was included, and by this point I was BEYOND livid. They didn’t even spell the last name properly. Are you serious?! Yes, it was a family funeral, but not family that I know well or even ever talk to. I messaged them that day and never heard a single thing back from them. I gave them a whole month before I wrote anything. Please save yourself the headache and DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!

I am the father of a bride who recently had her wedding in New Harmony, Indiana, and who used Golden Rose for flowers and arrangements for the wedding and reception. Tamara at Golden Rose was very easy to work with and provided excellent assistance when we had to make a last minute change from an outdoor wedding to an indoor venue because of weather. The flowers were all beautiful and received many compliments. I would recommend Golden Rose highly.
