Pelham Animal Clinic

Dr. Carr is always a pleasure to work with. Professional, but personable, easy to communicate with, and wonderfully accommodating, I am never dissatisfied with my visits to Pelham Animal Clinic.

Dr. Carr is the only Veterinarian I have used that actually cares about every single animal he cares for. He treats my dog better than my pediatrician treats my children. He is fair with pricing. He truly shows a love for all animals and the parents.

Well, my cats were super mad at me when I came to get them from this vet, but to be fair, it was only their second visit and my first time taking them anywhere. And I did have to leave them there and one had his testicles chopped off. So, I guess they had a right to feel betrayed. I also had a tough time getting their papers back and still don't know where the boy's collar is. All that being said, I've had much worse dealings with vets. The doctor called me halfway through the day to discuss problems he'd discovered (ex- the girl had a heart murmur and he didn't think spaying her today was a good idea because she might not wake up. They also somehow got fleas between yesterday and today, which he wanted to treat them for and did for next to nothing. He didn't charge me for any of the girl's examination and gave me the certificate I had to get her fixed back to use at a later date. Which is another thing, they take vouchers for inexpensive spay and neutering. They also didn't require a lot of extra procedures). He was polite and showed genuine concern. He even mentioned the idea of working with me to help ease the cost of possible future procedures. He seemed to understand all of my concerns for both my animals and my wallet and didn't make me feel cheap for being broke or unrealistic for opting to wait to treat the girl. The rest of the staff was very friendly, warm and helpful. It's much farther from my house than I want it to be, and like I said, the cats were not at all happy with me for a few hours, but it was worth it. I'd recommend this place highly, based on one experience alone.nnEdit: A day later, after hours, Dr. Carr just called me to check on my cats, from his home. He talked to me at length, in fact. Bonus points.

We have used them for years with both dogs and and a cat. Very good vet.

I have had the pleasure of using Pelham Animal Clinic for the past 5 years....ever since I moved to the area. Great staff.....Dr. Carr and his staff have been amazing and flexible. Even with the COVID pandemic, they have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care.
