They got my cat, Emmy, into the office in a moment's notice for a drop-off visit. They called promptly, the Dr. gave me a realistic prognosis for her, and told me about what they can do as far as further diagnosis. They were up-front about pricing and understanding. I wish I could say that my girl was able to be helped, but she was too far gone. They were so kind and understanding through the whole process. I don't have any more animals, but if or when I do, this will be the only place I take them. Today was incredibly tough for me, and they honestly made the process of saying goodbye to my cat as comfortable as it possibly could be.
This is my first puppy so this was also the vet I’ve been too and they were amazing. They were way more affordable than I was expecting and they were very transparent about all pricing. When it came to immunizations and other shots they were very honest about what my dog NEEDS but also about what could be a good idea to get but not real important. It was really easy to schedule an appointment online which I loved. They were are so nice and very informative which I loved because I had so many questions about my new puppy. I definitely found my permanent vet :)
I cannot recommend Urban Village enough. They have taken excellent care of our two cats and new pup since we moved to this neighborhood a little over a year ago. We’ve seen Dr. Fruit and Dr. Rudwell, and they are both excellent, as are their techs, Erin, Amberly, Amanda, Zach, and everyone we have encountered. The entire staff is kind, patient, and thoughtful in the care they provide. I miss being able to enjoy their beautiful space for the time being, but they have easily transitioned to this new normal and provide just as exceptional service as they did before.
I cannot say enough about urban village! From routine appointments to our pup needing urgent surgery, the staff has been consistently reliable, knowledgeable, and thorough. They always go above and beyond to give your dog the best care and to give you peace of mind. Always kind, always trustworthy, and always looking for the best interest of you and your pet.
I have been to a lot of vets in Louisville and this is the absolute best. The staff are caring and compassionate professionals. Dr. Rudwell always explains the situation in detail. They are very upfront about prices and alternative treatments. And the prices have been competitive. They have been great about working us in on short notice when the need arises. And most importantly they care about the animals they treat. If you need a new vet please check them out.
