Percell Funeral Home

Just finished a funeral service with Mr. Percell and his staff. I found them professional and hospitality was wonderful. They made the family I was serving respected and helped start the healing of losing a love one..

This is the most unprofessional funeral home I ever seen in my life. They will promise you everything is gonna be taken care of and then, you see your loved one looking like someone else. The make-up is terrible and sad. All the stuff in there is old and out dated. If I would have known, I would not have used there service. Every time I call no one is there that can answer my questions. I always have to wait two or three days before anyone can get back to me. My family members service was in April, it's July and I'm still trying to get all the paperwork straight from the mistakes they made. This place is the worst.

This star is only given because it has to be to write a review.nWith that being said. Danny Purcell should not be the director of anything. Anyone that rude and emotionless should not be allowed anywhere near a grieving family. A very close friend just lost her brother, her boys lost their uncle. Forever. A funeral is a time in which you get to say your goodbyes. Today I witnessed the worst thing anyone who has lost a loved one should have to endure. Seated in the 2nd row from the casket, we sat waiting for the funeral to begin when Purcell came up to us and told us we had to move because that row was already taken, that we needed to move. This woman and her 2 boys were told they couldn't sit there. If we didn't like it we could move to the back of the room. Who makes a freaking seating chart for a damn funeral? Who are you to tell people where they can and can not sit. Pall bearers I get, immediate family I understand, but those people respectfully had their seats. The deseased, may he rest in peace, sister and nephews had to get up leave their seats and walk to the back of the room and sit for the funeral. All the while it was going on Purcell starred at us. Almost with pleasure of what he had done. But left sitting on that 2nd row from the casket was 2 ladies. 2 ladies and we were made to leave that row. I hope that this business doesn't stay in business long because they have no respect for grieving families.

The only reason the one star is there is because you can’t give any less. The most unprofessional, disrespectful encounter I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing with a funeral home. The people who are supposed to be giving comforting words and making this very sad and emotional process a little bit easier. No sir no ma’am I am convinced that is not even in the code of contact for this “business.” In the process of getting the arrangements settled for my late grandmother not only was I disrespected but my grandmothers home and this family. I understand that sometimes people try to lighten the mood but Mr. Percell, even after told in a respectful manor that I the granddaughter was very emotional and am not one to joke with especially in this instance, continued to be smart “jokingly” ud83dude44 and disrespectful in every aspect up until he walked out of the door. When my family asked that he apologize said “I ain’t apologizing for nothing “ and then sent one of his associates to offer a sorry one. It would take 4 pages to describe every line that was crossed. I do not recommend them to anyone, with reading the above one star reviews my heart hurt because no one should experience this type of foolishness under any circumstances.
