My dog was attacked by an owl at night and we had no choice but to bring him here. The staff that answered the phone to us were decent, nice, and considerate human beings. The same can not be said for their vet Dr. Brittany Borck. When she called to talk to us she was very rude and condescending. Everything that she said to us felt like a parent talking down to their child. The people in the parking lot are much more stressed than you. I understand that you are getting more animals than you know what to do with at times, but that gives you no reason to act the way you did. The people in the parking lot are more stressed than you are as they are bringing in their family members in because they are hurt and clearly need emergency help. People in your parking lot are people and not the cattle that you seem to treat them as. We asked you questions about our dog and about what you thought and you went as far as to laugh at us at one point. I truly hope that you will see the error of your ways. You made a super stressful night that was terrifying for my family, and made it that much worse with your condescending tone and attitude.

Horrible experience. Go somewhere else even if you have to drive further. Our cat was extremely sick in the middle of the night and had progressively gotten worse after seeing our regular vet earlier that day. I understand the Covid precautions, but it was sad that no one can go in with their pet. You have to call the phone number when you arrive and the woman who answered the phone (Jana?) was extremely rude and condescending. She made us feel like we shouldn’t be there and had zero friendliness or compassion. I should have left immediately and gone somewhere else. The vet who saw her was nicer, but he sounded robotic like he was reading all of his information off of a google screen. He also kept calling our female cat a “he” which made me wonder if he even took a good look at her. The prices were out of this world expensive, I understand an ER vet is going to be more than a regular vet but this was insane. I couldn’t be more disappointed... we thought our cat was dying and to be treated rudely with no compassion made it so much worse for us.

Never bring your pet here. We called because we thought the dogs may have gotten into poison they told us we had to call and open a poison control case first which turns out is their policy not a requirement. We ended up doing it ourselves but have since found Emergency vets that would have said to come in so they could make sure it was done safely. Their corporate office didn't offer to change the policy when we complained.

Thankful! My little guy Kevin had an allergic reaction to a bee sting in his mouth/face. The staff was very kind, answered lots of questions. (I’m a bit anxious, so in a situation like this, I had a lot). They were upfront about the wait time, which was appreciated even if it was disappointing to hear (not the clinic’s fault, by the way, they just had a lot of patients/critical cases).nThat being said, because of swelling near his mouth, they determined his case to be time-sensitive and got him in fairly shortly after arriving. I was told after his initial treatment, I’d probably have to wait a couple of hours to go over things with the Doctor. Amazingly, I got a call from Dr. Rabe within about a half hour! Even though they were busy, I felt as though the Doctor took time to explain things fully to me, which was very much appreciated.nOverall, all the staff (from front desk, to the techinician coming out to the car to pick Kevin up and take him in, as well as the Vet) were really nice and made a stressful situation much better!nEmergency Vets are not cheap, but that being said, this wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. The two injections he needed were less expensive than I thought they’d be, and the emergency visit cost was comparable to another 24/emergency facility I’ve been tonbefore.nnThank you to Blue Pearl in Blaine. I hope not to have to bring my little guy in for Emergency Care again, but if I do, you have our business!nnSam and Kevin :)

Love the staff here and our experience with Dr. Katherine Michaels. She was very transparent regarding our options and the costs. She also very patiently answered all our questions until we were able to reach a decision of what avenue of care to pursue.nI only gave four stars because the day our dog was treated we were told they weren’t accepting large dogs at the moment. Thankfully, our dog isn’t considered a large dog. However, I can’t imagine dealing with even more stress to our situation of having a very sick dog by being referred to another hospital due to a dog’s size.nOverall, I highly recommend this hospital if your pet is in need of emergency care. As I noted before, the staff seemed very knowledgeable and caring. It was difficult to keep our dog there overnight but we felt our dog was in good hands. Thankfully, with the great care he received here, our dog made a full recovery!
