i got my cat from here in the summer of 2017. he’s a big black cat named ‘jet’, in case any shelter staff remember him. :) this cat is my best friend. he’s been such a blessing to have in my life. everyone who meets jet adores him. my parents, who are “dog people”, beg me to let them drive over to my apartment to visit jet. he has so many people who love him. i want the humane society to know that jet is doing very well in his forever home!nedit jan 2021: coming back to say that jet is still doing great. my boyfriend recently moved in with me, and jet got attached to him immediately. jet is living his best life.

Overall great experience with staff, timeliness and care. They were very throughout and kind. They gave us a lot of time with Bean. She's doing awesome since we adopted her. We even got to pick two toys from a donated toy bin. The facility was clean and well maintained. This is our second adoption from Michigan Humane in the last five years. We've had great experiences from different locations in Metro Detroit.

As a loving pet owner, tending to our pets as their time nears the Golden Bridge is truly one of the hardest commitments to honor.nnThe care that was tendered to my family as we tended to our sweet Sassé was beyond warming, caring and compassionate. I am forever grateful for all of the employees and volunteersud83dude22

We are heartbroken. We adopted two cats from them, 1 year into having our beautiful Cali, we had to have her put to sleep because she had end stage dementia and would have had it from the time of adoption and a thorough check up should have shown it. Our other cat Minnie,we found out that not only is she not just 3- 4 years old, she is 12 and has a cancerous tumor in her mouth that they claimed to be bad teeth. Turns out she has no bad teeth, she has cancer and that should have been seen during her check up with you before adoption. So who exactly is vet checking these poor animals and allowing families to adopt them. ALL of this should have been disclosed when we adopted. So two beautiful animals that we love have left us and will leave us because the only way to remove this tumor is to remove part of her jaw, how cold and heartless would that be for her. No wonder adoption is so easy here. Now Minnie has since passed away. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.
