After my 10 y/o German Shepherd was poorly worked up at a different ER, we came to MedVet. Each staff member, tech, physician, & employee I encountered during our visit was so friendly, professional, and made both myself and Tucker feel more comfortable during a scary situation. They were also conscientious to not order repeat labs/imaging for costs sake. Dr. Gehrke was also very communicative regarding the plan, pricing, and expectations. Overall, very grateful for MedVet.

Dr. Clooten is amazing!!! She is so kind, thoroughly explains everything, and answers all of my (many) questions. She is very thorough and I did not feel rushed, which is something I have felt at other clinics. The whole team at MedVet is amazing! My dog Winston was hospitalized with them for 3 nights and every staff member I spoke to was so polite, patient, kind, and caring. They also kept me updated every step of the way. Thank you so much for taking excellent care of my boy!

Do not bring your pets here unless they are literally on deaths door. Made an appointment for my dog who was having seizures and they said they couldn't see him for 2 weeks. Since he was having multiple seizures a day, I had to bring him in under an emergency visit, which they were able to immediately see him in 30-40 minutes. I paid for the cost of the visit, blood test, emergency fee and neurological consult fee for almost $400. They wanted to charge me an extra $1500 to keep him overnight. The doctor tells me that it's a tumor, but can't know more without me spending an additional $2500-3000. I decline both the overnight and additional treatment, opting to try medication before saying goodbye, I just can't afford more with everything else that's going on. Weeks after being on the medication and he's doing much better, no seizures since! He needs a refill on his medication, but MedVet tells me they won't refill it unless I pay for another, 'different' neurology consult. Wait, what? How much is that? Exactly the same price as the previous consult I paid for. So I have to pay their fee twice, for a single diagnosis that got him put on a medication that he can now no longer be taken off of, and if I want to get a refill I've got to not only pay for another appointment, but for a 'special consult' that is described EXACTLY the same as the less intensively, albeit equally priced consult I just paid for a couple weeks ago. These guys are running a racketeering outfit out of this place, charging additional fees to pass the same information from one room to another. Stay away, go literally anywhere else!

We had to put down our 12 year old German Sheppard mix that we rescued when she was 1. She had cancer and was not doing well. It was a very hard moment for me and the doctor who helped us was one of the kindest, sweetest people. She made that process as tolerable as it could be with the most gentle touch. Thank you.

I’m feeling confused by this place. I had an appointment to get my dog an ultra-sound for her liver here. I looked up ultrasound prices online and most places state it’s between $400-600 max. When I booked the appointment originally I did not think to ask how much it was thinking I would not be anymore than the average cost I had seen online. When they called to confirm my appointment a week before I asked how much it would be just so I had an idea and I was told it would be anywhere from $750-$800 which is something I cannot afford.nnI ended up calling other clinics to see how much it would be at other places (the most expensive was $565). I then called back this clinic to cancel my appointment but before I did I asked for them to confirm the price/make sure I was given correct information. I was then told that they did not know how much it would cost and after the examination (which would cost $193) I would be given options to proceed with the doctor. I then asked what would be the point of getting the examination done if I can’t afford the ultrasound (which I have already been told is something that I need from my primary vet)- no one had a good answer for me and no one would give me even a ball park for how much I would be spending for the entire appointment.nnI understand it might be a range but you need to give more clear information on cost- $800 is a lot to anyone and if that is what someone is going to spend they have every right to know in advance. Also I don’t understand how I was told it would be between $750-800 and then a few days later told “well we don’t know how much it will be.” That doesn’t make any sense. Just be honest.
