I was NOT satisfied with Simons service. I walked in to pay for my Fathers funeral in full but instead I was told it would be better business practice to buy insurance and put them as the beneficiary. As crazy as this sounds it gets worse. An ACH transaction was done with the check I provided and with me not knowing this the funeral directors wife asked for a cashiers check on top of the check saying she was returning the check to me. Yes, they received the money twice. If this was not bad enough. During the viewing of my Fathers body the day before the funeral my family asked specific questions on what to expect at the service the next day. The body showed up 30 minutes after the pallbearers were told to be there. A different casket skirt from what we were told we would have. The slide show was 45 minutes late. (The night before we spoke directly to the funeral directors assuring we did not need to do anything regarding the slide show because they take care of it)The funeral director had to go buy a DVD player. My family had no direction from the funeral home staff on where they should be before or after the service.
