Yes, Dr. Akers is more expensive than others, but one gets what they pay for. In my 15 year association she has gone out of her way to come to our house in the dead of night for an emergency with one cat, made house calls to treat an infirm cat and ultimately picked her up when euthanasia was the only option left, and has otherwise only shown that she does care very much about animals. And I am often amazed at her mental recall--without referring to notes--when various patients come through the door. Yes, there were a couple of times we were somewhat unhappy with the cost, but again you get what you pay for and three of our four cats she sees are healthy senior citizens, and that's the most important thing to us...their health and longevity, and that's the best recommendation I can think of.

This vet I took my old dog to was great.we tried save her but sadly she passed away this is a very hard time for me
