Even though right now Vet visits are different, they are still very good at working through that and trying to provide quick and reliable service. They accommodated me for my senior cat and I really appreciated that. Good, long term pet owners/clients should be treated as such, and that they do!

My 6 year old German shepherd had to have surgery because she tore all of her ligaments in one of her legs. The U of I did surgery on her than told us to follow up with our regular vet. It is now about a year later and we just found out that the hardware that was put into her leg was infected with MRSA. So we know have to have surgery for her again and they are again not letting us do follow up with them as of right now. We are having to pay for everything. Completely horrible.

Watch your wallet, the crooks at the animal hospital plan on maxing out your credit card, even after providing a maximum bill, then exceeding the charges.nThis took away my opportunity to decide what I could afford. My daughter and I were promised a much lower bill (thousands ) and billing assistance. That was all a lie. I was promised a call back, which never came (thanks to amanda for failing to follow through as promised).Dishonesty in a state institution is disgusting, I guess that is expected in Illinois.nShame on uiuc and Illinois.

They were insistent on getting my 5 mo puppy Wollie in as soon as possible (next day) into cardiology after his vet noticed a heart murmur and enlarged heart on his chest x ray. He was diagnosed with PDA and they immediately performed surgery to close the disconnection. I was also able to enroll in a study trial and only had to pay for the actual surgery (no scans or visits). My baby is perfectly healthy now. Seriously I couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience. They are also taking COVID precautions very seriously. The staff was beyond nice. Wollie was so loved and spoiled there. I swear he misses Emily Dodd (the vet med student assigned to his case). Wollie actually had to stay there for a day prior to and a day after his surgery for observation and Emily called me multiple times a day to update me on Wollie and even email me pictures of Wollie periodically. I live in Peoria and drove an hour and a half each way every time I went and it is 100% worth it. Dr. Gabrielle Wallace, vet cardiologist, is a miracle-worker, a blessing. She was excited about his surgery and she saved his life.
