The staff was very nice and professional, and they were very understanding of our need to get an appointment as soon as possible. They're also very good about following COVID safety measures, and everything is done curbside due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, Dr. Straeter had to give us unexpected bad news about our beloved 10-year-old dog, Baby. But she was one of the kindest and most compassionate veterinarians I've ever met, and her genuine care and concern meant a lot at a difficult moment. She took time to make sure I understood what she had found with the heart ultrasound, and she patiently answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone whose pet has heart issues.

The doctor and her staff were some of the nicest people we have ever dealt with. Even though my husband and I had to wait in the car due to the pandemic, I felt totally at ease with the technician who carried our pug inside. Also the doctor gave us an explanation as to why a certain issue was happening with her. Everyone here was amazing, I can't speak highly enough about them.

I can’t express how thankful I am for the Vets and staff members at the Animal Rehabilitation and Cardiac center in Alabama. My sweet dog had a stroke while getting his heart murmur examined and they were able to stabilize him, give him oxygen and pain medicine, and gave us the gift of getting to say goodbye to our little boy. Thank you for the work you do, even when it’s hard and painful for the families - I couldn’t have been more thankful that you were there to care for him in an emergency. My Jazzy man had his first appointment with Dr. Straeter about four years ago after a dear friend named, Jamie, sent me in her direction. My Jazz was born with a PDA heart murmur. At the age of seven, he was at a grade 6 but displayed no symptoms and was on no medication. There are times that pets need specialists and my Jazzy definitely needed Dr. Straeter! I truly believe he would not be with is today without her care. Medications have kept him healthier and he’s still maintaining and more heart health . Still without symptoms but all thanks to her and my friend Jamie ! Forever thankful for my Jazzy’s ♥ufe0f !
