My brother lived in nursing homes for decades due to traumatic brain injury. His care was suboptimal. He recently complained he didnt feel well, which was unusual for him as a noncomplainer. The hospital did XR then CT scan that showed fluid on his lungs and a large mass. He passed within 3 days. Elizabeth House Hospice and Highlands Cremation and Funeral Care were absolutely wonderful. When my brother passed, Highlands Cremation and Funeral Care took all his information on the phone, sent required forms for signing by email and completed his cremation within a few days. I live 3 hours from the Highlands C&F Care and they gladly mailed the cremation remains to me. They were so supportive and understanding, making my decisions a lot more easy. I am so thankful for the people who work so hard to make a difficult time a little more easier with loving hands and attitude. The death of my daughter was an extremely difficult process and there were many things that were handled incorrectly by many different agencies. The only bright spot in the entire debacle was Highlands Cremation. The entire staff, including the owner, spoke to us personally, helped us get the death certificate straightened out and treated my deceased daughter with the dignity and respect that she deserved. There was no pushy sales process to make a difficult time even worse. Kevin was the kindest and most helpful person you could hope to deal with during such a hard time.
