I have been going to Dr. Laves for 30 years. I have lived in St. Charles for the past 10 & choose to make the drive to his office for the care of our pets. I have had 2 cats, 6 dogs over these years & now my grand-pets go to him as well. I have never been dissappointed & all of my dogs have loved going to the vet!
While calling the office can be a chore (they are busy and someone is not always at the desk), in the end it has always been worth it for me. Our dogs love Dr. Laves and he always gives practical advice on their health issues when they come up. I would rather deal with a bit of trouble with phone calls for routine appointments than have a vet and office my dog is afraid of!
Love the doctor, the service, and the quality of care. This practice truly cares about your pet rather than just a paycheck.
Wish they would let me in!
Dr. Laves and his staff were not responsive in a time of pet emergency. Our dog had terrible uncontrolled seizures and had to be put down. I called his office 4 times without response from the doctor. He never called to follow up and was not available in the time of utmost need DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS. Thank god for Veterinary Specialty Services. If you are thinking of taking your pet here, I recommend going to any other vet.
