Banfield Pet Hospital

We had to put our beloved Golden down yesterday due to cancer. I called all over town trying to get a doctor to do it at the house but most were booked a week out. We found Banfield online and I had never heard of them, but they had an opening and it was time. They used the pet cremation service I had heard good things about so we made the appointment. We encountered 5 different staff members and every single person was kind, compassionate, understanding and professional. It was private and we were given time to say goodbye. Most importantly we were allowed to sit on the floor and be with our boy as it happened. Thank you to everyone at this location, you made a difficult day a little easier. Highly recommended.

front desk staff is absolutely amazing very kind and gentle people really make you feel comfortable leaving your pet with them.nI have not met the doctor but based on our conversations over the phone reviewing the appointments they articulate and knowledgeable you can tell she likes what she does and is very genuine in her care for your dog's health.

When I was living in St. Louis, I took my cat there twice. I acknowledge that they were very professional. However, they were very kind at the beginning. They tried to promote the their wellness plan to me. Once I disagreed to join the plan, their attitude and demeanor changed immediately. My cat received vaccines. I could tell she was treated poorly. I felt the service depended on the decision on whether to join the plan. This is not the way to run business. I had my own insurance plan. Why did I need to join an extra plan? I have used lots of veterinary services. You are the only one doing this. I do not recommend this place.

Great service for my puppy and 4 yr old baby.

Wildly over priced and difficult to get an appt.nI've used two other vets in the St Louis area and banfield is by far the most expensive, and imo, not any better. My cat is prone to ear infections and every time he gets one it comes to $300-400 to treat. They charge full price for check-in appts throughout treatment. I've had another vet completely waive the visit cost because they told me to come back to check up on how my pet is doing.nIt is also difficult to get an appt. It took me 3 weeks to get my cat in. The worst I've had with any other vet is 3 days.nnThe only reason we've taken our cat here is because we got a mailer for a free first visit.nnI do not recommend them at all.nSupport a local vet instead.
