Banfield Pet Hospital

If you love your pet, I highly recommend that you NEVER take them to this Veterinary facility. Of all the many Veterinary facilities I have been to over the years, this Banfield Pet Hospital in Heathrow, Florida, is absolutely terrible. Although it looks nice on the inside, the quality of both the service and competence is so low, and the level of professionalism is so poor, that I have never been so disappointed by a Veterinary office as this.nThere are many Vet offices in the area, please choose different one. You’ll thank yourself, and you won’t have to deal with the frustration that I did, on behalf of your pet.nI brought my pet in for an USDA accredited international travel certificate, which I have already had done three times in the past at other Vets in both New York and Florida, and I never experienced any problems. It normally takes between 30-minutes to one hour to complete, but this Banfield facility kept my pet from 9:30AM until 6:30PM (9 hours, several of which I was sitting in the waiting room), I never saw or spoke to an actual Veterinarian, and the “nurse” who did all the communicating with me seemed absolutely incompetent at the task, complained about how much there was to do, and showed zero professionalism. At one point, she needed to talk to a previous Veterinarian of my pet, so I called them on my cell phone, then she took my phone and walked off with it while I waited out in the waiting room for over 20 minutes while she kept my phone. All in all, it took 9 hours, and again, an actual Veterinarian never spoke to me once. The front desk staff did not display much professionalism either. Although they were not rude, and showed basic friendly manners, I had to listen to them complaining and discussing how ready they were for their next “day off”.nAfter all that, three days later, I received a call that the form had been submitted incorrectly, which caused an inconvenient delay that I had to piece together, instead of the people at Banfield Animal Hospital.nI cannot exaggerate how unsatisfactory and inadequate this place and it’s staff is. A whole day wasted dealing with incompetence.

All these one star reviews are just sad. This practice has some of the most brilliant minds in the vet business as well as a team staffed with expertly knowledgeable people. They are efficient, accurate and caring of the animals they see. The vet goes well above and beyond to ensure my animal receives the correct and necessary gold standard treatment.

I’ve going banfield for 6 years now. I absolutely love this facility! My dog was unfortunately bitten by a neighbors dog and the Lake Mary location was available and very helpful the day of the bite. The dr was kind, and helped explain everything in advance. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, they also called me the day after to follow up on my pup.nnI highly recommend Banfield for anyone with a dog. I also love their pet care program that saves me lots of money every year for my dogs check up. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and they have many locations so your dog can see a vet anytime! Love banfield.

My poor kitty needed to be put down after 19 years with me... the lovely vet (tech?) WAITED until my boyfriend drove up from West Palm Beach (easily 3 hours) to be with me before she did what needed to be done (Yea, we’re a gay couple and they still treated us as human- it was nice)nBest,nService,nEver.nI don’t care what your politics are - these guys take care of everyone. No matter anything.

Professional, polite, informative. The staff kept me informed of my dogs recovery every step of the way and were so sweet to him.
