Clarencia Ingram at Vista Funeral Homes has the MOST CARING ATTITUDE, We lost my son and were sticken by shock and grief, we were not 100% here!! but feeling that someone really cares and is willing to go the extra mile to help you makes a big difference. I would recommend Vista Funeral Home, Funeral Director Clarencia, she is a round person, very knowledgeable and makes things happen, she made my family feel special, we've received an OUTSTANDING service. No words to say THANK YOU Clarencia for the piece of mind you gave us during such a difficult time for my family.

My father passed away on Friday in my house. The officer assigned to my house was very kind and helpful. He contacted and tried to find out the funeral home. We new my dad had a plot at Vista Memorial Gardens we were not sure about the funeral. He called and Vista confirmed that my father had all his services with Vista.nnAfter several hour two gentlemen came to pick my dad. Extremely helpful and nice. Saturday morning I received a call from Dennis who said he could not find the paperwork for my dad. I told him that Yesterday (Friday) it was confirmed he was suppose to go to Vista. Also, I explained that I was sure he had all his services paid for and that his plot was at Vista.nnAt this point, being nice, he asked that I look for the paperwork to ensure that my dad was in the correct place and if it was not it didn't matter because it was a wash. He said don't worry I am embalming him already, halfway through. To embalm you have to have documents signed and approval from the family and he did not.nnHe called again, while I was trying to figure what was going on. I found the paper work while I was talking to the funeral home which was not Vista. I merged the call of both funeral home so that the companies and myself could figure out next steps.nnDennis was nice until he realized that my dad contract was with a different funeral home and that he was suppose to be somewhere else. He when on to say to myself and the funeral director from the other company that he had embalmed my dad and that he was doing me a favor because he would not charge me for embalming (extremely nasty to me and the other company/borderline bullying)and only for the pick up.nnI straight out told him he was confused because my parents had all of there arrangements paid for and the fact he was doing me a favor by embalming my dad without my authority was not. Dennis when on to say well I am only charging for the pick up and you can not have him unless you pay. Note: Well they were suppose to verify before coming out and they told me and the officer that they confirmed all my dad service would be at vista.nnThe next events were terrible:n1. My dad was not embalmedn2. threaten to keep my dad's bodyn3. my father already had a smell of dis-compositionn4.Charging me for a pick up (after assuring me he was suppose to be there).nnThis man (Dennis) and the company are supper unprofessional. He tried to take advantage of my loss to get me to spend money that he new was wrong. I have been dealing with his stupid calls and Dennis calling the funeral home for several days asking them to pay for the pick up when they from the beginning new that my dad did not belong in the organization.nHis actions were fraudulent and a HIPPA violation and people should be careful when dealing with there loved ones and making arrangements with this funeral home specially when dealing with Dennis he is a disgrace. I am disappointed because instead of apologizing he has been harassing and nasty. He has made my loss worst and more painful not allowing me to grieve.

From the moment we called the night shift staff member who picked up our call we knew they would take great care of us. My father passed the Thursday right before Hurricane Irma and the funeral staff picked up my father that Friday morning before we made the official arrangements. The funeral director Cathy was empathetic and so organized, even with the hurricane on its way she was accommodating and focused on us. She kept us in the loop every step of the way from when we could have the arrangements based on the cemetery reopening, to ensuring we had a room large enough to accommodate our family and friends. The day of the funeral everything was beautifully prepared and arranged. Can't thank them enough for their positive attitude, professional and ability to handle everything with all the post hurricane chaos.
