Rescued a two year old Great Pyrenees, took him to Prairie for a physical and neuter.nStaff was very responsive - which I think is important when you’re trying to communicate with those caring for your pet. Dog seems to be recovering very well. Post-op instructions were clear. Great options for flea tick and heart worm. Handled ear infection well. Prices are reasonable and transparent. Likely will be his long-term vet for any needs big or small going forward.

He is best vet. He knows everything. I made mistake of not trusting his opinion and relying on vets in Madison to my unending regret. He knows what’s wrong without tests. Don’t underestimate him. He is a professional and very knowledgeable. Experienced from bigger city and years of practicing veterinary medicine. Great asset to Beloit.nnAnd recently he did dental for my dog and all went great.

Treated my french bulldog like they truly cared about her well being. They listened to what I had to say and we're very informal and kind to my dog and I and even called the day after treatment to see how she was doing. I'd recommend them to anyone needing a vet for their pet.

I can’t say enough about Prairie Animal Hospital! They literally saved our dogs life yesterday! Dr Sohkey and the entire staff went above and beyond for our yellow lab Tucker. Tucker decided to jump on our kitchen counter and grab a bacon wrapped steak, this steak also had a large metal pin in it. When I realized he had eaten the steak I called our regular vet right away. It was around 8 am and they stated they couldn’t see him until 3 pm. This made me worry instantly because I knew if he passed the pin it wouldn’t be good. Our niece works at prairie animal hospital and she always speaks so highly of them so I called them right away. I explained what had happened and they told me to come over immediately, despite their completely full schedule.With in 20 minutes Tucker was in the exam room and getting X-rays immediately! After seeing the X-ray the Dr stated surgery would be the best route, he did give a few other options but I could tell he thought surgery was the best route to save him. With in a few hours Tucker was out of surgery and doing great. He like many other pets is a complete part of our family. There would be a huge hole in our world without him. There are not enough words to explain how thankful I am for this office. The fact that they got him in and he wasn’t a patient of record shows how much they care for animals! We will now be switching to this office for all of our pet care needs ♥ufe0f

Prairie Animal Hospital helped my 8-year old cat get well after a large blocked bladder. The Vet explained the procedure for unblocking his urinary tract very well and informed me of a itemized bill so that there were no concerns with a bill I could not afford. My cat would have died that day if I hadn't taken him to see the Vet. The Vet called the next day to check on him and give me his look lab results. I have a healthy Puddy cat now.
