Legacy Funeral Chapels are the best that I have dealt with. Unfortunately, I have dealt with three other funeral homes throughout my life. They can't even compare to the compassion and sincere assistance I received from James and his staff at Legacy. On the day my sister passed, I was so lost. I went through the motions as if everything was just a dream. She and I were very close. She was a second mom to me when I was younger, and a best friend as I grew older. I wanted to carry out her wishes of what she wanted done when she went to heaven, exactly the way she requested. Legacy Funeral Chapels did just that for her and I. On the day they came to take her from our home, it was done with dignity, and gentleness. As I watched her being taken away, they gave me time to gather myself before having any conversation with me. James was very patient with me, helped me with all my questions and concerns and was very conscientious in guiding me with what little funds I had to work with. He spoke to me as if we were friends, not business acquaintances.nnLegacy Funeral Chapels knows their business. They are there for you and your loved one to help you during your loss. I would highly recommend them! When we needed there services James was extremely understanding, knowledgeable, accommodating and did not take advantage by price gouging. Very caring and reasonable!

Why could we have had Simply Cremation in Green Bay pick up and cremate the body for $800? Seems like you take advantage of grieving families for purely profit. I understand that this is your business, but there is business and then there’s taking advantage of people when they are the most vulnerable. Either by grief or guilt. If we had known the cost ahead of time, we would have had Simply Cremation pick up and hold the body till the university could pick it up. Hopefully, in the future you think about people and not just about the $$

Did nothing more then picked up the body at the nursing home a few blocks away to hold until the medical school could come to pick it up. Charged $325 for this “service”. Couldn’t imagine how much they’d steal from grieveing families who wanted a service, casket and burial. Death seems to be a crooked business and they should be ashamed of themselves.nnEdited to Add: I’m so very sorry that our mother didn’t die at a more convenient (cost effective) time for you. I will not be calling you to discuss a refund. If you feel one is deserved you have my address (feel free to deduct the stamp and envelope cost). I paid your outrageous fee, and can guarantee that you will not be getting any further business from my family.

James and his entire staff were compasionate, kind and caring. Their attention to all details could not have been better, meeting our family needs at a difficult time.
