I'm glad I chose this clinic for my puppy Lucky. Everyone was very nice and attentive, even though we are going through a pandemic. I could not go inside because of the health rules but the ladies who came out and got him and brought him back were wonderful. Thank you all for being here when my puppy needed you
We have been going to this vet for over 20 years and have taken our three animals to them. After explaining three different times that our cat was not able to go to the bathroom without crying out, he was seen for abdominal issues, six days after the first call. He was given a nail trim and distemper shot. He was sent home with new food and a vitamin and we were treated as if we were overreacting. We called three separate times after to speak to a doctor because the cat was having fits of convulsion and seemed to have trouble breathing. The vet tech said the doctor would call us back later in the day. We never got a call back. My cat died less than a day later at the Mayfair Animal Hospital due to 250 milliliters of fluid filling his chest, a condition that takes years to develop. A condition never mentioned by the doctors at this clinic. Not only did the doctor admit that no one on his staff informed him that we had called about our concerns, but the initial points of concern were also not communicated. This clinic should not be responsible for the well being of animals. Their carelessness and lack of professional standards is tragic.
The West Burleigh Vet Clinic has been my place to go for over the last 25 years with the two cats I owned. Last week I had to put Shakespeare away, a beautiful 24 year old cat who enriched my life for the last 18 years. These people are so kind and caring that it helped me through my great loss.
