Blooming Perfection

Lynda was a dream to work with! She gave me such good motherly advice beforehand and I loved her description of bride time, when I was running a couple minutes late! The day of she had everything labeled and ready to go for us. The flowers were perfect! Overall, I loved the family feel of her shop, her advice, and the quality of my flowers!

I just used Blooming Perfection for my wedding. Lynda (owner) is the best in the business. I went in knowing nothing about flowers and did not know what I wanted. She showed me all different flowers and worked with me to create the prettiest bouquet I have EVER seen! The bouquets she makes are HUGE! I could not even fit my hand around mine! We also had a few issues with the flowers at the reception and Lynda took care of everything for me! She's the best in the business. I would recommend her to everyone I know!

I have several mixed feelings about this place; some good, some bad. We started out great. During our first meeting with Lynda, she was willing to bring out props and all sorts of things to give us ideas for our centerpieces and even custom make them for us. Not many places were willing to do this. We signed with Blooming perfection after this.nnDuring our second meeting in Waukesha, we saw people carrying out boxes. When we asked, she stated she was moving the business to Eagle. We didn’t find this out until we saw people moving. Eagle is significantly farther for us.nnDuring the process, I (the groom), attempted to email Lynda several times. She never responded to any of my emails. As soon as my bride emailed her, she got right back to her. My bride also cc'ed me on all emails, but when Lynda replied, she only replied to my bride rather than select ‘reply all.’ Not sure if she isn’t used to grooms being part of the process or if she was just trying to cut me out of it.nnDuring our final consultation (approximately 6 weeks prior to the wedding), we drove all the way to Eagle to see the center pieces. At that time, Lynda told us she didn’t have them yet, but showed us some flowers she would provide for the wedding. Really the main reason we drove there was to see the custom built centerpieces. She told us she would have them next week, but the next week, she did not. The following week she also did not. It wasn’t until 11 days prior to the wedding that she was actually able to provide us a prototype of our centerpiece. We had her make a few changes to it, but otherwise it was fine.nnAfter seeing the prototype of the centerpieces, we made final payment. She did give us a few ‘free’ items (if there is such a thing as free when you are already spending $2000+ dollars). When we attempted to give her a check for final payment, she stated she couldn’t accept a check for final payment and needed cash. Understanding it was only a week prior to the wedding (even though we had just finally saw the centerpieces), we then attempted to pay with a credit card. Lynda then told us she couldn’t accept a credit card for final payment (not sure why), and again stated she wanted cash. We really didn’t want to walk around with over $1600 in cash. Finally we talked her into a cashier’s check, but Lynda stated it had to be made out to her personally and not the business. That whole situation seemed shady.nnOn the day of the wedding, we were able to observe everything. The flowers looked nice, no issues there. We used battery powered string lights for the centerpieces, and it looked like some had one stringer of lights and some had two stringers, but I’m probably the only one that noticed that. The centerpieces otherwise looked nice.nnOur main issue the day of the wedding was the fact that Blooming Perfection stuck flowers all over our cake… to the point where you couldn’t even see parts of the cake. We did not ask for them to touch the cake! I know they were probably just trying to be nice, but why would you mess with someone’s cake without asking them! The baker of the cake (whom was also family) was furious! I’m told flowers were picked off prior to me seeing it, and it still looked excessive! Every inch of the top of the cake (except where the centerpiece was) was covered in flowers.nnOverall I wouldn’t rate Blooming Perfection horrible, as the flowers and centerpieces turned out nice, but definitely below average because communication was poor, readiness of the prototype was not timely, final payment seemed shady, and they messed up our cake.
