I would give a zero but the option isn't available. My sister spoke with a gentleman there in regards to viewing my mother and was told that a viewing in the home was out of the question, there was no way she was getting dressed and basically refused to even so much as clean her. If we wanted to see her the best we were going to get was her in a body bag. His tone was beyond rude and my sister said two words as he continued to cut her off and rant about what he wasn't going to do. You would think someone that works in a field dealing with grieving families would have some sort of compassion or empathy, this was not the case however. We have since spoken to another home and are grateful to be working with someone who will actually show care to the kind and sweet woman we all loved. She deserves to be treated far better than what this place is apparently capable of.

After losing my father unexpectedly this year, I was grateful for the knowledge, experience, and support of Matt Thompson and the staff at Chippewa Valley Cremation. My sister and I do not live in the area, so we looked to Matt for guidance on how to handle my father's arrangements--especially with all the challenges surrounding COVID.nnMatt's first question was whether or not we wanted to see our dad's body one last time--which is such a personal decision. After listening to Matt's honest assessment, we made a confident decision to remember our father in the way he would want us to, giving dad the dignity he would wish to have at the end of his life. However, I appreciated Matt's willingness to accommodate whatever decision we made.nnOnce we got to town, we met personally with Matt to discuss the funeral, services, and other details you don't think about at such a difficult time--obituary, programs, flowers, urns, death certificates, etc. He walked us step-by-step through the process--pausing when times got emotional for us--and all without pressuring us to buy anything we didn't need. He provided us with a tour of the Celebration of Life Center, where we could host a service for dad. He also reviewed all the new COVID protocols that are in place to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all visitors, which was necessary for our older, more vulnerable family members and friends.nnWhile I am still sad to have lost my dad, I am comforted knowing that we could give him a proper farewell. Thank you to Matt and his team for making such a difficult time that much easier for us.

I'd like to say that Bailee was a lot of help when I first called to get it setup for my mom to be cremated. Today when I went to pick up my mom's ashes in her beautiful urn that Bailee helped me pick out I talked to Joelle and she was so nice too. And Matt for for filling out the paperwork. They are just a great bunch of people there all around. I will be letting people know about you people and how nice you all are

Matt is so caring and compassionate. His team goes above and beyond to serve families in their most difficult days. Highly recommend their services.
