Horrible, horrible experiences with the Animal Hospital of Howard. Over three years ago, we brought our dog in for an emergency. The staff lacked the knowledge to properly examine him and gave my family faulty advice. He was later brought to the emergency vet in Appleton where he died a day and a half later. If the Howard vets had properly examined him and read the X-ray correctly, he may still be alive today.nnTo add insult to injury, they actually mailed our dead dog an edible note with a message along the lines of how it was nice to meet him and that they hoped to see him again.
Dr. A.J. was very sensitive and knowledgeable about Maggie's situation. He listened to our concerns and responded quickly and appropriately. I find that all the Vets and supporting staff are positive, caring and affectionate with our furry family members. I feel very comfortable having Maggie's health in their hands.
I have recommended Howard as a great vet to so many family and friends but sadly when you need them the most, they do not provide the trusting service you are used to. Requested appointments to review medications for proper pain management and simply given increased medications without wanting to see them or review their needs or my concerns. During this unusual time during COVID we have essentially been dropped as a client when my dog needs their services the most. Frustrating would be an understatement, I can now see how other local vets are willing to step up and help me when the Animal Hospital of Howard would not. Great service with young healthy dogs and sadly only downhill from there…
The staff and Doctors are all top notch. They are always able to get us in when our companions need care and they never push for treatments or tests that aren't necessary. They are our ONLY choice.
We trust them with our dog and cat. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The prices for service are very reasonable.
