Fast Pony Flowers

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Melissa do our flowers for our wedding in Vermont. Her talent, her creativity, her vision and her flowers are utterly unparalleled. Melissa grows all of her own flowers - that's right - she grows them - and she grows them largely based on what her clients select.nnMy bridal bouquet was stunning - filled with the most extraordinary flowers - burgundy peonies, blush roses, peach ranunculus - it was stunning. The bouquet was secured with silk ribbons that she hand dyed. HAND DYED. I still have them. The simple elegance of the wristlets that she made for those special bridal attendants. The lovely boutonnieres for the groom attendants. And did I mention that she festooned the leashes for our two dogs? She did. It was amazing.nnWe decided to move our ceremony inside at the last minute given the weather and Melissa transformed the room into an intimate, beautiful, serene setting - lit candles, blush fabric draped on the arbor with spectacular flower garlands. Completely beautiful.nnThe atmosphere she created for our reception was magical. Vintage paper lanterns suspended from the ceiling as well as greenery, brass candlesticks with black tapers, a simple drape of linen down the center of the tables and cascading off the end - all of it made for an utterly magical event.nnI also want to mention that we are lucky enough to live in southern Vermont and therefore are able to get her flowers weekly when they are in season. From early spring until the fall our house was filled with her blooms on a weekly basis. It was the highlight of our week picking up her beautiful flowers - carefully packaged with our name on it. I hope she will do a weekly flower subscription service and/or flower club. I'm absolutely signing up.nnMelissa is a wonderful human being. You should not hesitate to work with her. She's the best.
