I’ve been going to GMAH since 1993 or 1994 when I got a dog. Went to the North Avenue location for many years because it was so convenient. The staff have always been friendly and kind at both locations.nI had one cat who always got pretty scared there and required gauntlet gloves and a towel but the staff still treated him with love and kindness. When this indoor boy got out several years ago, some kind soul brought him to GMAH after he was hit by a car and I was able to go and identify him. The staff was so kind at a very low point for me.nThis year, when my current kitteh went for her first checkup, they were doing curbside care, came out to the car and took her inside for me. I was thrilled and impressed by their service at such a challenging time!nSarah, the vet tech, is amazing! Always friendly, courteous, and welcoming. I recommend GMAH to anyone who I hear gets a new pet. Thanks for being so reliable!

I have been getting notifications that my dogs (2) needed their shots and heartworm tests. We have visited with Dr Murphy a few times with great experiences. This time, because of Covid, I called and the receptionist, tech, told me it would not be a problem and the tech would be able to do the shots, etc. so it wouldn't be as expensive and she could come out to the car and I had to come early. I could not go, so my husband took the dogs. Almost $1,000 later he came home angry. They took the dogs in and a Vet we did not know charged for two separate visits, gave them a complete exam which was $70 per dog, plus shots, medicine for an ear infection labeled for the eyes. Lyme test that was given and not requested ???? ( they said it was a false positive), and preventive medication for heartworm, fleas, and tick on top of the tick collars we had already purchased. They gave me one $50 rebate coupon for one of the meds. I asked why on one rebate for two dogs. They said it was for one per person...even though I was charged for two visits with two different dogs. I called and complained about all of this and when I asked about the $50 rebate...the desk person said well, we just got in rebates for $75 and would I be interested. End of my rope. We really had good experiences with them until this happened. We have spent thousands of dollars on out dogs in short of a year. I believe they really took advantage of us!
