VCA Newark Animal Hospital

I have been to a number of VCA and I don’t like them. This one is different. When I had a true emergency with my dog, Napoleon, these folks were helpful, caring and very responsive. The doctor even texted me the next day with his bloodwork: i thought my dog was having a stroke and they quickly identified it as a much less harmful and temporary ailment. They set my mind at ease and provided Him with the correct meds. If you are having an emergency with your pet this is where you want to be. Forget that Blue Pearl place. They are too expensive and much less professional. Marrows Rd Emergency Vet is the address you should have on your fridge! Thx guys!

On March 26, I had to take my cat Jack to the VCA ER. Dr. Emma Leblanc took care of him. We had to make a tough decision that day and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Leblanc and the staff at VCA. This is a scary time for everyone and allowing us to be with Jack when they put him to sleep meant everything. Dr. Leblanc was very kind and reassuring. I also like that they send you a full report of the visit. I have never received that from other vets. It's helpful to see the vet's notes. I've had two experiences with their doctors in the ER now and I have a lot of confidence in their knowledge and skills. I have decided to make them the primary care vets for my cats. I would highly recommend them!

I had to take my dog here twice in a week, as he needed stitches for a wound on his paw. Special shoutout and thanks to the team at VCA Newark, DE. The entire staff was incredibly kind on both visits and took all of the best precautions to keep everyone safe. Their hard work, dedication, and empathy did not go unnoticed ud83dude4fud83cudffc

currently here now for my dog who has some breathing issues and a possible infection and i’ve been waiting 3 hours and have heard NOTHING about how he is doing. dropped him off at 6:45pm and waited in the parking lot till 8:55pm until i called only to be told they had JUST shift changed and the dr was going around and looking at the animals. now here it is 9:33pm and still haven’t heard anything. keep your pets away from here if you wanna save time and get speedy updates on your pets

Very nice staff very pleasant people. We’re very nice to my cat. BUT they are overpriced. Go anywhere other than VCA unless your animal need immediate attention. They wanted to charge me $1000 for X-ray and blood work. Went back to my vet and they only charged me $300
