I have written this over and over again and nothing seems to be able to convey the gratitude and respect I have for David Storke and his team. To make a very long story short – I started a job as an executive assistant and on my first day my boss’ father passed away. He was going to be buried in Arlington cemetery which has a 3 month average wait if not more. My boss asked me to do everything I could to make this happen immediately. I worked endlessly for the next week and a half to make this happen.nnDavid Storke was one of my first calls to the DC area after some very discouraging calls to Arlington. He helped me every single step of the way. He assured me from the beginning that I could call him day or night anytime and he would help me if he could. This was also while assuring me that he did not expect me to use his funeral home – he genuinely just wanted to help me. I have never experienced such kindness; not to mention his knowledge on Arlington and the process was beyond any single other person I spoke to, including Arlington cemetery.nnSome way, somehow I was able to secure a date within the week at Arlington cemetery. This all happened very quickly and with decisions changing every second I had not even thought to double check that David Storke’s Arlington location had a place to hold a wake. (Keep in mind they do – it was just not possible for our day/time). David Storke helped me think of every solution and while it seemed that if we were going to do the wake the only possible outcome was to switch funeral homes my heart was crushed. This man helped me for hours and hours. I couldn’t imagine telling him we now had to switch. But of course HE EMAILED ME to let me know he completely understood that we may need to switch and there were no hard feelings. He had worked HOURS on my case.nnHighly recommending truly seems like an insult for how I feel about this man and his business. This is the ONLY place to go for funeral homes in DC/Arlington Cemetery. He even checked in on the day of services to ask how everything went. He recommended other funeral homes for me. I am bewildered by this man’s professionalism, kind heart and overall clear conscience to do the right thing. You will not find a more genuine business ANYWHERE in ANY INDUSTRY. I owe David Storke and his team a lot. My hope is that people read this and know this is the best business I have ever come into contact with and will exclusively use them.nnTHANK YOU DAVID STORKE AND TEAM I will be forever grateful.
My father unexpectedly passed away in January and we needed someone to reliably help us navigate services at Arlington National Cemetery. We found Storke Funeral Home online and I don't know what we would have done without David Storke. David was available within minutes to answer our questions and remained highly accessibly throughout the process. His caring, professional demeanor put us at ease immediately on the phone and in person. He was detailed oriented and took time to explain the process (multiple times) making sure we understood the time lines and unfamiliar Arlington protocols. David facilitated transporting my father's remains from more than 500 miles away and respectfully sheltered him until the services. Words can't express the relief we felt knowing that David had everything covered. He personally handled the services at Arlington and treated us like we were his only client. We are forever grateful and highly recommend Storke Funeral Home.
I feel very fortunate to have chosen Storke Funeral Home for my fathers Arlington National Cemetery burial. David Storke personally handled every detail of my fathers arrangements. David walked my step-mother and I through every step and ensured we understood the process from the Time of Death in Delaware to the Internment at Arlington Virginia. The most important thing to me during this process was trusting the funeral home. David exceeded my expectations from the first phone call, and earned my trust by delivering everything he promised. The picture I attached shows David's dedication. That is him standing at the transfer point at Arlington making sure every detail of our fathers funeral was perfect.
I could not be more thankful for Storke. Highly recommend. Please read.nnNo one wants to think about planning a funeral for your father, let alone if you are 33 years old and managing your father's estate. As my dad's power of attorney I tried to plan a little bit ahead and the best thing that happened to me was finding and enlisting David Storke and his crew. He assured me that everything would be taken care of when my father passed away and he was not wrong. When my dad died I was a wreck and David was the angel that I needed.nnFrom handling technical questions, to being there for me with a gentle ear and uplifting sense of humor, I felt assured. He even let me be a diva when my family tried to insert 500 obituary edits and he took them all in stride. On the day of the funeral mass the Storke team greeted me, had programs and prayer cards available as well as a guest book and extra checks in case I had forgotten any. My dad looked really really good thanks to Storke's team and my family was blown away with how wonderful they were.nnI cannot recommend them enough. My father was a colonel in the army and while we do not yet have a date for Arlington National Cemetary I am thankful that I have Storke on my side to advocate for me and help me though next steps.nnIn summary, Storke Funeral Home is the best thing since beer (I would say the best thing since sliced bread but I like beer more than bread).
I highly recommend Storke Funeral Home. My father recently passed and these folks provided us the BEST service possible. Professional and extremely detailed in all facets of the process . They treated us as part of their own family and I will be forever grateful for the service they provided us.
