We chose bacon funeral home because we wanted to see my grandmother at the vela before burying her and they were the only funeral home that allowed open casket so we had no choice but to choose bacon. The building is old run down and looks repulsive. The extremely steep and slippery carpeted stairs are an accident waiting to happen. When it came time to velar my grandmother as soon as we walked in I immediately the noticed the woman we thought was my grandmother was wearing the wrong outfit and not holding the cross my grandmother was supposed to be holding. My mother called the people at bacon and right then the people at bacon should have investigated why my grandmother was not wearing the outfit we had chosen for her. Later on my family members began to notice that something was off about my “grandmother” and when my aunts further investigated the woman’s facial features we came to the realization that the woman my family had been weeping over and velando for hours was in fact a complete stranger. Once the people came to pick her up to change her outfit we told them of their mistake and they took the woman back to the funeral home and found that my grandmother had not been prepared and dressed we waited hours for them to bring our actual grandmother and were only able to velar her for about an hour. Most of her grandchildren only got to see her for 10 minutes before they closed the casket for the last time some of us did not even get the chance to come up close to her others didn’t even see our actual grandmother. This was a horrible experience for our whole family several people didn’t even get to see her at all. Bacon funeral home can not make mistakes like this especially when it is such a painful time in people’s lives. We have not received a formal apology from the owners of Bacon Funeral Home only from the driver and one employee. If I could I would give them -10 stars because this should not happen to anyone.

We used Bacon Funeral Home when my father passed away. They were so precise and on time for each step of the process. Their office was old, and a bit disorganized. However, they were willing to accommodate us with any needs and concerns we had. They were on time for the wake and funeral service. They had chairs and our religious music playing in the background which felt nice. During the funeral service they sent us multiple cars to guide us to the cemetery in persuasion. Overall they provided a good service and I would recommend them for everyone.

TERRIBLE experience for me and my family. We paid for an open casket service and yet the whole church service it the casket was closed. Then we were quickly rushed out the door by the funeral director, when we questioned her about why didnt they open the casket and why we are being rushed she immediately got rude and had an attitude the rest of the time. When we arrived at the cemetery we demanded they open the casket , she refused then started to get loud. She was very inconsiderate of what we were going through, as a woman in her profession she should know everyone is very emotional and for her to treat us that way was wrong. We eventually got loud back and then she called security to stay with her, and started to record us at our grandmothers funeral. The man who worked for the cemetery told her she can leave now but she decided to stay, the amount of disrespect this woman gave us was out of line, and no one should ever have to go through this when they lose a loved one. I will never use this funeral home again and make sure I tell everyone about this experience. DO NOT GO HERE.

This people are super irresponsible please do not use this funeral home. Me and my family recently lost a family member and we used their service. They gave us the wrong body and in the middle of the pain we were going through we had to contact them to have pick up that body witch we had no idea who it was. At the end we ended it having our relative but it took a very long time for them to fix the problem. They do not deserve any stars if I could I’ll give them a big cero.
