Alter Ego Electric Bikes

In March my Fiance and I purchased a Sidekick Trail and I absolutely love it! It's my main mode of transportation around town. I unfortunately had a crazy issue with the battery, and I just have to say that Alter Ego Bikes has THE BEST customer service I have ever dealt with. I explained what had happened with the battery and within a day they got back to me and replaced my battery and charger for me. They even brought it to my house and then made the second trip back because I accidentally gave them the seat attachments. You guy rock and will be our go to for E-bikes from here on out. I will never stop recommending you guys. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Love love love you guys!!

So these guys are pretty great. I had a call with Kyle and had a tonne of questions for him. He gave me a really good tutorial on available models and took the time to answer all of my questions. The best part of the call was that there was no pressure to buy. The reason I'm giving these guys 5 stars, is because they still treated me well and addressed all of my concerns after we already purchased the item. Most of the time, service falls off after purchase. Honestly, Alterego has been fantastic to deal with, with top notch service from day one. I would have no problem recommending them or their cool products. This scooter is a blast!

This is the best e bike I've ever seen and owned. Alter Ego Sidekick Fat is the one I own, it is fast, reliable, foldable and very good looking. I have ridden 1000 km or more since I got it a year ago, and it has never given me any problems whatsoever aside from the accessories' screws getting a bit loose. The wheels are thick and they give me a sense of balance and comfort on almost any surface (no ice, no sand). The height is wonderful, the handlebars are tall and that helps with the shoulder pain I used to get with lower handlebars on my other bike. The throttle takes you from 0 to level 5 of velocity in seconds, giving you the boost you need for going uphill or at a green light. It is a bit heavy to pick up, and might be heavier to ride with no assist of the battery. I've never had the battery run out on me, but there's always the possibility of charging it while you wait at a coffee shop or at a friend's house. You need a big and good lock for it, I recommend getting 2, one for the battery, other for the bike. The bike is so eye catching, everyone will want to know where you got it. I love mine and will keep on taking it on adventures around Vancouver!
