While I didn't end up making a deal with Joliette, Catherine was fantastic to deal with. Very responsive and helpful without being pushy. I will definitely check with her in the future for a vehicle.

I don't recommend dealing with this dealer. Awful shopping experience from a customer standpoint. The client's journey is wrong on so many levels, from the time a customer steps in the dealer to the moment he steps out. I drove up from Montreal to "see" a particular vehicle for which I've already signified my interest prior to my arrival (I've booked my appointment online via an agent who is solely responsible for internet and FB inquiries). She should have informed the salesman of the basic infos regarding my visit. The salesman should have already know I was planning on trading in my vehicle X for their vehicle Y. First major turn-off. Thereafter, after answering basic infos regarding my trade-in (brand, model, trim, mileage etc...) I've notice salesman really lacks general "car knowledge" really basic knowledge... That was another minus to the whole shopping experience. Then, salesman asks for my car keys in order to physically evaluate how much the dealer is willing to pay. (During this step of the process, it's best practice for a joyful salesman to offer the customer to go look at the traded-in car together, so the customer "feels" that the dealer and the salesman is minimally interested in his car... This obviously did not happen and the resulted felt feeling was another minus). When the salesman came back to announce his offer, it turned out way off market price. Obviously when a customer comes to trade in his car, he somehow expect to receive less money than market value of the asset. (Dealer has to make some money when he'll sell the trade-in to another customer - pretty logical and obvious). In my personal case : salesman offered 23K (taxes in), average market value in the province was 28.5K. Thus meaning dealer would want a whopping 5.5K profit straight out of the trade in.... We are not even talking about the potential profit the dealer would make on the selling of vehicle Y for which I was interested in. This was too voracious and greedy, I did not even bother arguing with the salesman at this point as the offer was too low and ridiculous. I sense that the salesman was either too voracious price-wise or was looking down on me as unable to get a sense of the market value of my own car. But anyhow, I told myself I would simply sell the car myself at the lower bracket price of the real market value (which was about 27.5 to 28K). So I just asked salesman if it was possible to see the car, he agreed and we went out to the car, he offered me to pull out the PHEV vehicle which was nice (perhaps the only single positive attention I felt). However, he was not even able to put the car in gear... I gave him a few minutes, before stepping in explaining him how to put the transmission to "D". He embarrassedly admit he knows nothing about electric or PHEV car.... (What a major negative assessment to admit to a customer. It's literally saying to an interested customer that : He, the salesman, doesn't know sh*t about the vehicle he sells - even if it was obviously the truth, he should NOT have admit it). So after a quick walk-around of the car, I've asked him if I could test drive it. He literally said NO because of "Covid", the way he said it actually made me felt that it wasn't the authentic reason. Even though I totally understand we need to keep a log of all test-drive, there's better ways to handle a request for a road test. He suggested we go sit down inside and discuss prices and financials. Only after that, he'd let me test drive it. At that moment it was already over in my mind. During the whole visit, at no time was I feeling welcomed as a potential client. A few questions juggling in my head : was it because: me looking young, maybe the shade of my skin (asian), because I wasn't in a business suit ? Though-out the whole discussion I was feeling some sort of disdain as if he already had a negative made-up stereotype of me judging by my look. Little did he know I'm a financial exec comfortable with numbers and managing corporate efficient practices is my expertise...Avoid this dealer at all cost.
