Intact Insurance

After years of never making a claim and paying the never ending annual increases for their executive and shareholder bonuses, they cancel our (previously approved) home policy with no notice because we have a (CSA approved and professionally maintained) wood stove. Well done!🤬

Fortunately, I've never had to file a claim with Intact, so I can't speak to how big a nightmare that might be. I can say that Intact is incapable of maintaining basic information about home insurance, such as who is the mortgagor or even what a customer's postal code is. And you'd have to look far and wide to find a more incompetently designed website. When my next renewal comes up, I'll be looking for another option, even if it means paying higher premiums. The aggravation this company has given me just makes me want to run away.

The representative at Intact Insurance (Heather Westling) and the Belfor Contractor (Heather Cross) were respectful of my wishes to have my home put back to its original condition. The cleaning was done to my satisfaction and the staff were very friendly. The painting done by Amber Cross was excellent. I am completely satisfied with the job everyone did to make my house and home again. Thank you!
