Hourglass Comics & Games

I purchased 2 board games from hourglass games and comics. One of them came with a whole bunch of pieces missing. I called to see if they could help and they said that I need to contact the manufacturer of the game in order to obtain the missing pieces. Fair enough. I also asked them if I would be able to return the game to them. The gentleman responded by saying “well what am I supposed to do with it then? Lose out on the revenue?” As somebody who is a parts and sales manager, I found that to be extremely unprofessional. I have since passed along my experience with Hourglass games to the Canadian distributor for the board game I purchased, as they’re the ones I got re directed to from the manufacturer. It was the manufacturer who recommended passing along my experience too. I am giving them a 2 star rating instead of a 1 as the store itself is great, and the person who was working there the day I purchased the board games was extremely helpful.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Great little comic and games store with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of DnD/Pathfinder minis for a great price. Have bought all my minis here and will keep coming back!

I like this store because of the friendly service and clean merchandise. Too often have I been to other comic shops where everything was dirty, even their plastic protective sleeves were unsanitary. Fortunately, this is not the case here. However, there are just 2 things that made my visit here less than stellar. I was disappointed that this store did not carry any graphic novels from my favourite European artists Dufaux and Marini. Their work, particularly Marini's "Gipsy" comics, were featured in some Heavy Metal magazines in the early 2000s. I was really hoping that this shop would have carried them. The last thing were some of the prices, which I know can't be helped in some cases. Other than that, great job. I also liked that creepy Beholder creature that was hanging from the ceiling. And you can see the picture that I took of it in this review. =)

Service here is awesome. I couldn't recommend it enough
