Western Financial Group Inc. - Canada's Insurance Broker

While many reviews here are very polar (as are most Google reviews these days), my experience was a positive one. I was referred to Western Financial for renter's insurance due to a group discount (which is an asset). Aubin was very helpful, personable and great to be served by. There was a slight (very forgivable error) that was made with the spelling of my last name, but we are all human. The error was rectified within the day that I communicated with them. If anything, I'm to blame myself for not realizing it sooner. Thank you again!

Today, I was fortunate to work with Lisa L in the Kelowna office. She took excellent care of my insurance needs. She was extremely helpful, specifically thorough and saved me more money than I thought possible. Insurance is probably one of my least favourite tasks, but Lisa made the experience a pleasure. Thank you Lisa L! 😊

I've been a policy holder for 3 years with this company now. This year I tried to add a renter to my policy, called a month before(sept 19) my policy was up for renewal, talked to someone, as my account didn't have an apparent representative. Was told this would be added to my policy and should receive my paperwork in 30 days. 6 weeks later(nov 2) I received a bill in the mail for not only my portion of the strata policy by my neighbors half also. No paperwork just a bill and an impending letter that if I don't contact them soon I'd be out of a policy. Ontop of this blunder, our policy jumped up 1600 dollars a year for the building, with underwriting changes being stated as the biggest contribution to the cost. In conclusion i don't feel like a valued customer of western financial group. I understand with our stata style insurance, options are limited and from what I've been reading the whole strata insurance market is a scam, but this is enough to have me go elsewhere for insurance, even if I'm paying more.

This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Basically I'm waiting for a refund cheque for over 12 month! I have sent emails and called few times to the company, and ladies had made several promisses but they've never done! They used to have my business, home and auto insurances, but not in the future!

Had a fantastic experience with Erin Surinak renewing my car insurance! She made a normally boring, stressful experience quite enjoyable. Would highly recommend her!
