Village Bikes

I would be remiss in suggesting that Village Bikes is a bad/poor establishment. Our experiences there have been generally positive. However, the customer service experience is very inconsistent. Some of the folks who work there are affable, helpful, and just generally very kind. However, Graham, and some of his direct colleagues are much more interested in their hipster credibility than in anything else, really. I would definitely give these folks my business, but consider avoiding the hipster jerks. Their general demeanour, and "too cool for school" attitude, quite frankly, leaves a LOT to be desired.

Village Bikes is our favourite bike store! They are knowledgeable, honest, enthusiastic, supportive, and super friendly. The service is exceptional, prices are great and selection is fabulous. In fact recently I was looking for a somewhat obscure but specific bike and through some searching, they were able to get it for me. Such amazing customer service! We are average (but enthusiastic!) family cyclists and have transitioned through casual cycling, road biking and commuter cycling, and in that time have added a dog and a kiddo to our cycling mix. In this time we have visited numerous bike shops and sometimes, being newer to cycling I've felt uncomfortable in some shops. This has never been the case at Village Bikes. I've always felt really comfortable to ask questions and the staff take time to explain repairs etc. Village Bikes is hands down our favourite bike shop, and the shop we will without hesitation send our family and friends to.

Five stars are not enough for the amazing service provided by the staff at Village Bikes. They are all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They will take the time to find a bike that suits your needs, and are always willing to answer questions and make recommendations when able. I don't know much about bikes, and have found that I always leave Village Bikes feeling confident that I've made the right purchase. If I ever need to return something (hasn't happened yet) I know that the staff will take the time to assist me in finding a better fit. My Dad recently purchased an E-Bike from Village Bikes following hip replacement surgery, and the staff took the time to understand the limitations he was experiencing to ensure their recommendation was going to be a good fit for him and his recovery. He can now be seen riding all over town! The COVID-19 pandemic has made retail services stressful for both customers and businesses. Brett and his team have done everything possible to ensure safety for both their customers and their staff. I feel very comfortable and safe shopping there during this time with the changes that they have made. 100 stars. Highly recommend.

Have been taking my bike here to be serviced for years and am always impressed with the quality of service, level of knowledge and friendliness of staff!

I didn't get a chance to actually buy a bike from these guys due to a shortage of bikes, but I was really impressed by their service. I called on Wednesday to see if a bike was in stock and if I could test it out. They had it but it was not yet assembled and in the warehouse. Even though they are currently very busy they had it assembled for me and ready to ride a couple of days later. Unfortunately, the bike was too small but they guy helping me was super nice and friendly. Would definitely go back to this shop when bike stock becomes less of an issue in the lower mainland even though there are closer bike shops to me.
