I was interested in a specific used car and contacted 5 different Nissan dealerships. One dealership that I contacted was Applewood Nissan Richmond and was immediately connected to Paul Shalhoub. After a brief chat explaining what I was looking for, I mentioned that I was scheduled for surgery the next day and would not be available until Wed. of the following week. Paul did call me back on the Wednesday, as was agreed, and first asked me how my surgery went. After a brief chat, I explained to Paul that my son had been looking for a vehicle for me at the same time and possibly found one that was a private sale. When I explained this to Paul, he was more than helpful in wanting to check out this car for me to ensure there were no accidents, etc. (what car salesman does that?) I ended up buying that vehicle. Even though I did not purchase from Paul, I found him to be the most helpful (out of all the salesmen I dealt with), kind and a man of his word, which I value very much! I would highly recommend Paul at Applewood Nissan Richmond as he goes beyond the call of duty in Customer Service. You will never be disappointed dealing with Paul as he goes the extra mile for a customer. Give him a try, you will be pleasantly surprised and you will love his Aussie accent!

Superb! Approximately 6 weeks ago I bought a car from Applewood Nissan Richmond and Paul Shalhoub was my salesman. The warmest huge big smile greeted me when I walked in with my daughter who was helping me settle in. I'd been living abroad for several years, hadn't owned a car in Canada for ages and felt totally out of the loop but only wanted something used for my work commute. I was advised to go to Applewood Nissan by an old family friend who fixes cars for a living and I'm so glad I took his advice! Paul sat us down and asked me to describe what was most important for me in a car. I didn't make it easy: "great on gas, reliable and under $4,000.00". The fact is they didn't have anything that fit the financial part of my criteria but Paul brought his boss over (also very genuine and kind) and between the two of them, they found me a great little Chevy Avea for just slightly over my asking price. The service was amazing; everyone gets treated well, regardless of how much they are there to spend and there has been regular follow-up to see how I have been getting on. (When I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to open the hatchback, Paul actually offered to drop by and show me despite the fact that he'd given me a very clear run down of how everything worked on the day of purchase. I was so impressed and happy with the service and my car that I will definitely be returning there when I decide on an upgrade. HIghly recommend!
