They get 1 star because their parts and service advisors are very pleasant. The sales staff was unhelpful and standoffish when I tried to buy my new GTI. So bad in fact, i drove an hour and a half to Richmond and bought the car at Cowell VW instead. 5 weeks after purchase, I took my brand new GTI in for a rattle in the drivers door panel and another in the back seat, when the seats were latched upright. The car was returned to me with the rear seats folded flat(they don't rattle in that position), and obvious screwdriver damage around the window switches on the very panel they worked on. I called them immediately, and was told flat out "your car had pre existing damage" . Their "proof" of this was a pic taken by the tech "before he worked on it". Laughable. Service refused to do anything, and stood behind their tech. I was told the service manager, Mike Parker would call me the next day. 1 day later, I had to call him, because he failed to call me first. Mike Parker was immediately defensive, and discounted anything I had to say. I've never been so disappointed by a reaction. I was forced to contact VW Canada and file a claim. Sadly, VW Canada said "Our technicians are highly skilled, and we must stand behind them". They denied my damage claim. For the record, my car is 6 weeks old, and just cracked 3000km. I am the only driver, I am meticulous and its absurd to say it had pre existing damage. The part their hack mechanic ruined has a retail cost of $93. Hardly worth the negative feedback, but that speaks volumes to the types of people managing this store. My family has had VWs since 1984. I currently own 4 of them myself. I've never been so let down by a company who's flag I fly, and I've never encountered a dealer with such a lack or integrity. Incredibly disappointing.

I did not purchase a car here, nor have I been here more than one time. But this one time I am here to charge my VW golf the staff has been amazing! They moved cars for me and were very helpful to get me charged up and back on the road

I came into this location at the end of a very busy, stressful and tiring day. I had been up since 445am that morning due to an early morning appointment in Surrey and had visited 5-6 dealerships before ending up here. I had briefly spoken to one of the Car sales members on the phone and agreed to meet with him at 4pm that same day. Upon arrival at this dealership I was met with a genuine smile, presence and overall A+ customer service. Seeing as I had been to 5 dealerships before this one and received very poor customer service, arriving here was literally night and day in comparison. Curtis never put any pressure on me into making a decision quickly, instead he was quite the opposite. He helped me figure out what it was I wanted and how we could make my budget work for just that. Needless to say because of the customer service I received from him as well as his sales manager, I said yes to my now brand new Volkswagen 2020 Gulf. I would absolutely recommend visiting this dealership, I was treated wonderfully by both Curtis and Melissa. Thank you for the help and making me feel valued / important ! That ultimately made the difference in me saying yes rather than no. I will be a returning customer, no questions asked. Very impressed.

Updating my review: Changing my review because Volkswagen took the time to get ahold of me almost immediately after posting my old one. They called and apologized for the issues that I had, and offered me a free oil change the next time I come in. I appreciate this and the good customer service that I have received, and will be bringing my car back to this location again. Give them one star because they got me into the repair shop quickly. As for everything else they called me and told me what had happened to my car gave me a quote and I told them to go ahead. Later they then called to tell me it would be ready in about 45 min they were going to clean and vacuum the car and get it ready for pick up. When I got there it hadn’t been cleaned nor vacuumed it looked the exact same inside. They also billed me 100 more then I was told quoted and refused to change the price. The extra 100 was for miscellaneous and they couldn’t even tell me what that meant ..???
