After reading the other great reviews, we reserved 4 bikes for an afternoon in Tofino. Mark has a large inventory of top notch bicycles and they are in "new condition". We chose the Beach Cruisers and, because the tide was out, were able to easily ride down the beach. He also gave us a good map of the bike trails along with recommendations of where to go. If we could give 6 stars, we would. Thank You TOF Cycles !!

Marc and his wife are absolutely unbelievable and amazing people. And their bikes are none the less impressive. Wonderful service from these two, genuine conversations, and flawless bikes. Honestly couldn't recommend more. Thanks Marc and Addi!

Very comfortable bikes for riding on the trail and on the beach. The owner gave us a map and suggested some biking trails. This was the best way to see the famous beaches and enjoy the scenery! It took 4 hours and we didn’t even get tired! One of the best ways to spend a morning in Tofino!

Great experience. Owner Marc is a very personable guy with excellent communication and very attentive service. He made sure bike was fitted perfectly to both my husband, gave us some local tips - and I and we rode length of Chesterman, Cox Bay and into town and back. Perfect service and great bikes. Highly recommended. Biking on the beach is akin to flying :)

My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Tofino to surf. We decided to rent two Cruiser bikes with surfboard racks From TOF for 6 days. We paid around $400. We rode them to and from the beach for a couple days when on day 3 after hitting a pothole, one of the two surfboard racks on one of the bikes popped off right at the weld. Luckily we didn’t have our surfboards with us at the time as it most likely would have been damaged. Mark was great about replacing the bike with another that also had a rack and said nothing at the time about the damage being an issue. At the end of our rental we returned the bikes and Marc accused us of damaging the original bike rack and wanted to charge us an extra $200 dollars. I persisted that we didn’t damaged the bike at all, and that the weld had failed, as the rest of the surf rack was in perfect condition. If we had crashed or damaged the bike why was this the only damage ?? All in all it wasn’t a very pleasant experience. Marc accused are age group of causing constant damage to his surfboard rack holders. He said “this happens every year over and over “. So clearly these racks have had previous issues. I’m 31, but he said “your age group from 20-35 is always problematic”. My wife and I were very distressed with all this and to end the argument we paid $135 for the rack. I’m a Master Electrician/Construction Manager and told Marc he could fix this rack with a very simple 10 minute weld . He persisted that the welder in towns rate was $150/hr. We took care of the bikes and treated them like our own . We were very careful with the bikes and we’re completely honest with Marc but he didn’t believe us. Avoid rentals if your between 20-35 and if you don’t want to be charged EXTRA for normal wear and tear, that will happen on rentals bikes!!!!!!! We feel very lucky that are surfboard also didn’t get ruined in this process. We understand the costs of running a small business BUT we don’t feel that the costs should fall back on the customer.
