used Johnston Meier for many years and starting having issues with them. It started when I imported a 25 year old vehicle and I had a provincial inspection etc done like needed and when I went to get insurance they wouldnt do it and demanded i get a federal inspection in it! those inspections are only needed for vehicles 15 years or newer so I went to Capri and got my insurance right away. Recently I called to try and get atv insurance for the weekend and was assured it would get done for the weekend and they left me high and dry on that! Thankfully Southern Insurance saved me! Stay away from this place.

Renewed my insurance via email during Covid19. Rep rudely told me that under no circumstances was I allowed to come by the office to pick up my renewal decal even after I explained that I was moving out of town and needed it soon. Even asking if I can stand 10 ft away from the door and they throw it outside...UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES! Told me they would charge me $100 to mail it to my house which is 5 min drive away and I said no. Went to the office 3 weeks later as they said we could then pick it up at the office. No rep was willing to get off their seat to help me at the door and so I had to call while standing outside. They told me that they had mailed it. Waited 2 weeks and still nothing, called them and they said it was sitting at the office the whole time! Finally got it in the mail but after great amount of effort. The representatives throughout the process showed very little care or effort to help and viewed me a nuisance. Meanwhile, Capri have been much better to deal with and Westland was still seeing customers in their office! GO TO CAPRI OR WESTLAND IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT SERVICE!

Very helpful staff. They recently helped me get collector plates on a vehicle purchase I made. They also recently helped me with my boat insurance and saved me over a hundred dollars. Both of my other 2 vehicles are insured through them and when my home comes up for renewal I will be taking that business there also

In the last few years some insurance places have popped up around Westbank, that have average or lesser customer service. This was my fist time in JM since I was close by. The lady I dealt with was absolutely wonderful. A true breath of fresh air as far as being kind while extremely knowledgable and relatable. I was in and out fast but I still left with more knowledge than expected and without making me feel inadequate. She was so wonderful I specifically took her name. Thanks for making my visit so easy and such a great experience Cindy!! I'll be back again 🙂
