Trevor Magas was amazing. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and made my experience renewing my insurance a delight. He went through all of my questions and was actually able to save me some money overall. Most offices I have visited are usually very fast paced, always in a hurry and not very personable. This was the exact opposite. He even made some suggestions as I am in the market of looking at home insurance. Overall very pleased with this location and especially Trevor. If you need to renew your insurance or just need some help answering your questions, go see Trevor. He will take care of you.

I had to visit a few different insurance places recently, and Western Coast provided far and away the best service. Safety protocols for COVID were great. The gentleman who helped me went above and beyond - thank you!

In my conversation with the manager I pointed out that the one star review was not intended; it was the Google default and I did not intend to award stars, just comments. I've dealt with this company for 5+ years and always been more than satisfied with the service provided. In my original review (below), I provided my opinion that both customers and staff will be safer if transactions are carried out on-line (or by phone) whenever possible. Clients/staff not wearing masks, despite enclosed environment and 15-30 min transaction time. Long wait outdoors with no seating provided. Not elder-friendly. On-line transactions are preferable. My 5 stars in this edited review are in recognition for your patience in dealing with both ICBC and customers. There are two ICBC authorized locations in Oak Bay and 10,600 registered vehicles. A few simple calculations shows that, on average, each office may deal with 18 ICBC renewals per day. Each renewal takes about 20 minutes so I guess that a person in your office spends all day on this alone. Presumably you also service other insurance needs. For that you get 2.5 stars. The other 2.5 stars come from you having to deal with customers like the one that brought 3 kids with him to his insurance transaction, didn't give them masks to wear and blocked the outdoors queue for 45 minutes with four bicycles. And probably you should get 5 more stars for your staff sitting in a fairly small office all day and breathing the same air that dozens of your customers do, few of which, from my experience, bother to wear masks.

Excellent service and advice. Have dealt with this place - and in particular Trevor - for a long time. They always provide fast and solid advice. They helped us with car and home insurance, plus now other members of my family. Greg is also very helpful, as our the other staff who's names I can't recall! Highly recommend this place.

I am very concerned about the capabilities of this company. 1. Phone to say they are late getting the policies for 2020 - 21. Have 30 days to read and pay for next year 2. Policy arrives in my mailbox after the end date of the previous policy. 3. Impossible to contact anyone to discuss new policy i.e. no one at local branches, no answer to phone call to local branch and no answer after waiting 30+ minutes to their single general telephone number. After hearing non-stop that they are going to "provide quality service/please hang on" every 2 minutes, I hung up. If they had provided an estimated wait time, a possibility to leave your number and have someone phone you back, acceptable. But not this incompetence! How is one to pay? They are not a recognized company with Scotiabank electronic billing system. So now I send a check into "never-never-land"
